I was overcharged, with the price being more than double any of the varying prices that appeared on the website, advertising, etc.The pool is freezing cold and has a leak from the ceiling. The hot tub was not hot and could not be temperature adjusted. The room was not very cleanand was not cleaned during the day while we were away. I had to go to the office to get clean towels—there are not enough racks for hanging wet towels in the bathroom—broken hooks on the back of the door. I was given a bath mat, which had not been supplied previously, when I went to get the towels. Now the water is not coming out of any of the faucets in the room. We met the plumber in the parking lot who said he was doing what he could—he pointed out that it is nighttime. All in all, this has been a terrible experience, and I am paying nearly $850 for two nights!I intend to complain about this place to the relevant hotel and tourist associations.

To be perfectly honest, facilities were clean, grounds were nice, however I get the impression the owner has zero interest in making things right so long as he is paid - just doesn't want to be bothered. Had toilet problems and wifi didn't work, which is important for my kids. Changed rooms to at least a working toilet, but wifi still down. Talked to 3 people about it, they all said they'd fix it, no dice. Finally talked to owner, said nothing could be done and that he'd have to call the IT guy. Nope, nothing changed. They seem to care about the physical facility here but no care is given for service, spend elsewhere.

The room was absolutely beautiful with a lot of space (king bed with jetted tub). The hotel itself is very well located and close to the beach (5 mins in car). I'd definitely come here again!

If 0 stars were an option, I would have chosen that.My family and I didn't even make it into our rooms due to such poor customer service, Serena and Thomas were the 2 we dealt with upon arrival. It was my Grandmother (whom is in a wheelchair), my mom, my aunt, my son and I who booked 2 rooms to stay there. I arrived shortly after my mom, so she was already checking in to get our keys. I went inside to see how it was going, and the problems started from there... we were paying over $2.5K for our 4 day stay, so you would think they would have treated us a bit better, but straight off the bat it was mean looks and horrible attitude. We were having some issues with the Visa we were using so my mom was on the phone trying to figure it out. THEN once my mom asked where a plug is at to charge her phone at it was about to die, while trying to get the money to clear for our stay, Thomas says to us Look around for yourself" and laughs at us. I have never felt more unwelcomed anywhere in my life than I did at the Northwinds

Loved our stay here! The service was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had great views from our window (and sitting outside, we could watch our kids play at the park!) Recommend this motel if you are staying in the area.

This is an ideal room/size for a family with kids. Housekeeping unit with stove/fridge/sink and a few plates/utensils/cups.Location is convenient for Brackley Beach. One thing to note... get any groceries early, as the stores closed early , and all opened late next day (island time). Also, you'll probably need to drive to CavendishRoom was clean, staff friendly, pool/spa were good.

Great stay in a King bed jacuzzi suite. Pool was super cold but the outdoor hot tub was excellent. Our room overlooked an osprey nest with 3 young ones. Close to the beach and local shopping is a few k down the road. Staff were excellent, rooms clean every day, management very helpful. We will be back.

Rooms were clean, our wifi was not working in the room. Went to the desk to let them know and it seemed like this was an ongoing issue that has never been dealt with. The man at the desk messaged the owner who reset the router but that did not fix the issue. We ended up switching rooms and the wifi was fine. I normally wouldn't really care about the wifi while on vacation, but for the price I was paying for 2 nights I think it is fair to expect it to work, especially when this was obviously a known issue and they did not mention it before booking. Other than that the stay was good. They have coffee/tea and muffins in the morning. There is a salt water pool and hot tub that i unfortunately did not get to use but sounds nice! It is in a good location with a few restaurants close by. I feel it was pricey but I understand I visited during summer prime time.

There were beetles that would crawl into the room through the door because there was not a good seal. They are no longer offering a breakfast for their guests. They only offer a muffin and tea to go. It was difficult to get more towels and the staff didn't really seem to care about our concerns. Some guests found that their air conditioning units were very loud to the point that they couldnt sleep. On the positive side they do have a great location. We have stayed here in the past and it has been a lot better however the most recent trip hasn't turned out. We probably won't stay here again.
