I tried the Jerk Chicken with Rice & Peas and it was pretty good. The chicken tasted fresh and tender but I was a little disappointed with the coleslaw, which ended up just being cooked onions.I'm unsure if I'll be back here, but it was definitely worth trying!

We love us some Yardies!! One of our favourite restaurants and the best Caribbean food in Durham!! Ox Tail, Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Stew Chicken are fantastic and thier soups are amazing!

The line up of customers at Yardies lets you know that their food is on point. I’ve now tried their jerk chicken and stew chicken dinners. Both were flavourful and a generous portion. The dinner comes with their coleslaw, which I highly rate! I love the flavour and consistency of their coleslaw. Luckily, I work close by to give me a chance to try more items on their menu. Next visit will be for their oxtail.

Nothing more I can say delicious regular oxtail and rice, yes I did make a review about finding a hair but that didn’t take away from the food quality and taste that was before. I had plenty of places that had hair in the food it’s sometimes an accident. Even with the most precautions. What I like about this place is that I don’t have to ask for hot sauce and I like my hot sauce I mean I will have 4 of those little plastic things in the my food. They don’t pinch you on that. That lady was really nice and even the gentlemen that is there sometimes.

I think durham is hurt for good jerk chicken and Yardies seems to have some good food. Although a little pricey for a jerk chicken meal I feel like in a pinch for jerk chicken it’s a not bad choice. 4/5 ⭐️

Great tasting food!Anytime I'm in the Pickering/Ajax area I have to stop and get food here.Consistently great flavours and friendly service!Seating area is avaliable but not many seats. I usually order for takeout.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The food is consistently excellent any of day of the week, and the staff are so kind. I've had my fair share of jerk chicken over the decades and this might be the best of the best!

Very busy spot delicious food real authentic Caribbean dishes. Service and food was really good especially the soup on a cold day. The oxtail, rice and peas was so delicious huge portion size. I really wanted to try and rate the experience for myself and I was very satisfied. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming thanks for your recommendations;-)Looking forward to visiting again!
