My mom and I did an evening session with Mengchao and it was fabulous. Mengchao is personable, thoughtful and skilled at her craft.  I would 100% recommend her services.Shortly after our session, she personally delivered our finished pieces. They are perfect for beginners!

Took my wife out for Valentine's day for a pottery class. Mengchao was a great teacher, unfortunately I need more practice lol. We will be returning for sure. Also, had her make me some custom jade plates that are absolutely gorgeous.

I honestly could not have asked for a better first-time experience with pottery than the try-it workshop for two! Mengchao has a wonderful approach to teaching, which is very encouraging and positive, but not too overwhelming so even hardened introverts like my partner and I could enjoy the pun-tastic time to the fullest. If you're looking to throw down, this is the spot for it!

The Try it Wheel workshop with Mengchao was absolutely incredible! My partner and I participated in a Try-it Wheel workshop and had a really fun time. Mengchao is a patient teacher and even though we had never done any pottery before, we learned a lot and were so pleased that we each made a lovely and unique ceramic piece of kitchenware that we now use and cherish. I would highly recommend Mengchao's workshop!

We had an amazing time at our pottery workshop with Mengchao! She was patient and encouraging which was great for us as beginners and we felt we learned a ton during our session.The workshop itself was very well-structured and organized, while still being lots of fun. Mengchao also thoughtfully wrapped our pieces and made pick up very easy. We cannot recommend this pottery workshop class enough!

Could not recommend a class with Mengchao more! My partner and I attended her Try It Wheel Workshop for Two and left in such high spirits with newfound creative motivation.Mengchao is an incredible teacher. She instructs very clearly and is patient, kind, flexible, funny, and encouraging. I especially loved her pedagogical approach: once we were past basic instructions, she really encouraged us to find our own intentional practice and, while providing guidance on technique during our last throw, pushed for us to create freely. As a creative person new to pottery, I really appreciated this.Loved the format of the workshop as well; I feel the time allotted and number of throws allowed for a very comprehensive experience.She is also very well connected in the local pottery community and gave us tons of recommendations on how to continue our pottery journey.Would definitely love to attend more workshops with Mengchao in the future and, again, highly recommend her to anyone, artistically-inclined or not! The pottery class for 2 workshop was an amazing experience! Wendy is an incredible teacher and her personality is lovely. We learned the basic steps of wheel throwing and made 3 pieces each. Afterwards, we chose 1 to keep and cut the other pieces for more learning. Great teaching style and catered well for beginners. Highly recommend!
