Actually should be no stars. I payed extra for 3 year old oak which is grey in colour and craked as I was there to look at it when i purchased. Upon delivery I told the owner this doesn't look like the wood I purchased as it was light brown in colour and not that old but my mistake I decided to take it . I confirmed as i put fires on and it sizzled. He scammed me.

Wood not a full face cord. Measured 2 times and was only 8 foot long by 38 inches tall. Missing one whole row of wood(about 20-30 pieces). Not sure if this was on purpose or accidental. But when we brought it up we were ignored and ran out of patients. Won't be going back.

I just paid $130. a cord for 10 cords of wood plus delivery fee of 112. plus Tax. The wood is very wet and will not be ready to burn for at least 8 weeks, and even then I will have to mix it with dry wood. Apparently (they tell me)this is the norm for wood purchased from them this late in the season, despite their website advertising all of their wood has been cut for at least a year. I was offered some compensation, in the form of a cord of dry pine to mix with this wood. The quality of the wood is good, but the fact it is at least 2 months away from being anywhere near dry enough to burn is very disappointing. I purchased 2 cords from them near the end of September, I picked it up and it was ready to burn right away, so based on this and their website information I was expecting dry wood.

As stated in at least one other review, the face cord only measured 38 inches high. When I questioned the worker there, they said this was due to shrinkage. I inquired with measurement Canada about this, and they said that a “face cord” is not a regulated measurement, so a complaint was not filed. However they stated that “Shrinkage is not a factor we consider for firewood sales. The amount of firewood that paid for should be the firewood that you receive.”The wood was dry and of good quality to be fair.

The Good: they are open on weekends, the wood is nicely split (no giant rounds), and mostly around 16” length. The Bad: Picked up a facecord of their advertised “dry, ready to burn” pine in mid-January. It was not dry (fresh split internal moisture in the 30s). Buy from them in the spring (at the latest) if you plan on using it the following winter in an EPA wood stove.

Got wood for my backyard $20, three times the amount of wood yo'd get from the gas station or grocery store. The guy was super friendly too! Thank you and i will certainly be back for more!

My 2017 delivery was fantastic. The 2018 wood is still steaming wet even now in April with about 15-20% of it fairly rotten. Alot of the wood is still over 25% moisture content. I think I ordered later in the season around mid July. I have no problem with the business owners and how they are to deal with but was just disappointed with last year's delivery.

Hey Dan . Thanks so much for the face cords of wood delivered to me last Monday at Lake Penage . It is by far the best wood that I've ever purchased . Saw your website and with your great customer service and sincere personal advice , I purchased and you delivered exactly what you said that I'd receive. I'll be back for certain . Thank you , again ..... Jim.
