Superior Vacuums
I’ve been trying to find a new power head for my older Dyson but it seems they’ve been discontinued. I stopped into Superior Vacuums to see if they could fix my existing one and without hesitation, Greg took it to the back, they made a couple of quick fixes to extend the life of it, and made some recommendations.The customer service at Superior is exceptional and I’d highly recommend them for any vacuum servicing or sales!

So recently we had a power outage at my house, everything popped and we had to do a hard reset from our breaker. Everything started up fine and dandy, no issues there.Couple days later it was vacuum day! And my central vac didn’t work anymore, couldn’t figure why, the electrical portion was fine and the attachments would turn on but the suction didn’t work. So I thought to myself naturally that there was something wrong with the hose.Brought it to superior vacuums in Kensington and explained the whole ordeal. They said they could fix it easily enough.Waited a week for an assessment and never got one had to chase them, fair enough they must be busy. Finally called them and they told me it would be ready Monday and that a tech would take a look at it and call me back.Unfortunately I picked it up it still didn’t work….and the switch was upside down and the attachment plug in “face plate” was so misaligned it would not fit into my attachments anymore that I had to drill holes into it. Again, plugged it in and it didn’t work.Then I went down to my unit and realized the switch was flashing probably due to the outage, I pressed it and it turned on. So fair enough my problem to turn the power on or check it after a power outage, HOWEVER!!!!!!, they charged me 100$ to “fix” it. What did they fix? They probably never ran a diagnostic or tested it for that matter because there would have been nothing wrong with it. And a solid business would have called a client back and suggested something else was wrong with it.Bad form. Really uncool and I will never use their services again because clearly they don’t do what they are supposed to do to help clients. Also how does one trust a business in the scenario.Just my opinion.

Found this store online while shopping for a replacement filter for a Dyson air purifier. They had the filter in stock and the price seemed reasonable. I was happy to support a local business vs a national chain. That being said, when I received the product it was not was I was hoping for. I called their store at 11:45 am and asked who I could speak to about making an online return, the guy who answered the phone told me he would have someone contact me within 15 minutes. At 3:45 that day I still had not heard from anyone so I called back, I was then told “the guys are on lunch and will call back very soon”. This is when I asked to speak to someone again as I didn’t want this to drag out any longer. I also looked up the other 1 star google reviews and note others have had similar experiences.This is when I was transferred to the biggest gem of all! He wouldn’t provide his name (I am guessing because he is ashamed of himself, or perhaps he is a politically exposed foreign person). He answered rudely without saying hello “ya just mail it back to us and we’ll refund you buddy”. I asked for a return mail slip as per their website and he got agitated and told me something along these lines “look man, you are just one customer, we are a really big business, do you know how many buttons I need to push to make this exception to get you a return mail slop? Do you know we have been in business for 35 years? Clearly you are the problem here and not us…. I can tell by your voice you have not been in business as long as I have. I can’t promise I will get you a return label because thats not something we do, but i’ll see what I can do… anyways Im gonna hang up on you now because i’ve got other things to do”That evening be emailed me saying he would get me a return label within 1 day. It’s been 3 days and I still don't have one.The kicker? this is all over a $75 purchase. $75 is fortunately not going to make any impact on my well being and I don’t even trust this company to refund me if I were to ship it back so I’ve decided to keep their flappy/cheap product and instead share my experience with all fellow google users. Also sending screenshots of their website to ad standards canada.The cheap product they sold me for $75 is available for $25 on amazon. I’ll stick to dyson direct purchases or Canadian Tire moving forward.As a fellow business operator I do not take giving a 1 star review lightly. 35 years in business for this place, maybe it’s time to throw in the towel.Two items from their website at the time which could be improved to avoid this negative experience.1. The dyson filter was listed as a Dyson filter. It did not state that it was not a genuine dyson branded product, it also did not state that it was a genuine part. Based on the price being so very close to the dyson genuine part I made the purchase under the assumption it was genuine.2. Their website also at the time of purchase stated that they have a “110%” money back guarantee. The site had no fine print or text stating any exclusions. The site also stated they would send a return shipping label for returns. Again, with no notes on what could be excluded.

After giving up on two other store months ago, I randomly drove passed this store and within 5 minutes the hose I wanted was ordered and on its way. I've just picked it up, its exactly what I was after. Thanks

Writing a review behalf of my mom.My mom loved the service Greg and Ali provided. She needed a replacement part of the carpet machine we had. A nozzle / cap for the water reservoir. Alot of back and forth phone calls to see if they could get the part for her. She brought the machine in. And turned out the cap was stuck at the bottom. Ali, the one who was helping out in the back room found that we already had the part. But it was just stuck at the bottom. They didn't charge her any fees, or take advantage of her. My mom came back with a giant smile on her face. She wanted to buy them a coffee. But all they wanted was just a review.Thank you Greg and Ali ! You guys are great !

Recently went to the north location because a piece had broken off of my Dyson vacuum's head. I brought it with me for them to look at and Greg took it to see what they could do. A few minutes later, he brought it out to me good as new. Friendly, fast, and fixed. Thank you!
