Liberty Tax

We did our taxes there in 2021. My wife paid for both our returns. I had to go in to sign mine. When i went in to sign i was told i had to pay for mine. Which i did, only to learn that my wife had prepaid for mine. I wasnt all that concerned so i never went back to get reimbursed. Though i did call and let the guy know. Noone ever even contacted me about their error. It was Covid times so call that a tip to local business. They offer a guarantee on their tax preps. Mine were wrong, but i didnt hold them to their guarantee either. Tried to book an appointment online this past Monday. Their site didnt work, so i called the Yonge street location. The lady told me to go in for 1:30. At that time i asked about the cash back option and she rushed me off the phone and told me to come in for 1:30. I arrived, and had my taxes prepared. At the end she informed me that they no longer do the cash back. Again no biggie. I paid for my wife and my own tax returns and advised the woman that my wife was away until the weekend and was told it was fine she could come in then. I asked wether she would be submitting the returns right away, or if she would do them after my wife returns to sign. The woman said they are being submitted right away. I learned today that again she lied. They cant submit until all signed. She could have just tod me that. I called and the guy said that i would have to deal with their head office for complaints. No surprise, no one answers the phone there either. Do yourself a favour, use a different tax preparer. Not sure if all locations are the same, but this location is definitely one to avoid.

We have been going to liberty tax for 10+ years, i wouldn't go anywhere else, Anne and staff have been amazing, taking the time to explain things out when we didn't understand, following up with items that required looking into. If your looking for honest dedicated folks, look no further.

Horrendous. Unable to file my return on time and zero communication to inform me of this. Numerous follow ups went ignored. Now I have to pay interest to the CRA because of their incompetence. They do not respond to voicemail or emails and hardly answer the phone.

This company has done a superb job doing my income taxes. Id like to give a thank you and recommendation to an assoicate named luiza korman. She was extremely professional, friendly and is very good at what she does. Id highly recommend seeing her if you deicide to go into this companies doors thanks again! I am a satisfied customer and will be a repeat customer as well. :)

They had my girlfriend’s papers over three months. Few weeks ago she tried all week for them to respond to her questions ie when will they be done but the lady was never in. They kept giving her different emails to send some info to and they never worked. I went in a got her papers back. Went to H&R Block and everything is different and great. I also have a friend who tried to get his papers back and they said no. They released them as soon as he starting dialing the police. Beware !

I love this place great location, amazing and friendly staff that work hard and get your taxes done quickly. I have been coming here for over 10 years now they also offer incentives such as discounts if you refer your friends
