I needed a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers resoled and George’s Shoes received great reviews. I took them and talked with one of the workers there (didn’t catch his name), but he was thorough and helpful during the whole process. Pricing was a little more than expected (not really bad), but with rising prices right now I’m not surprised and honestly knowing the work that goes into these repairs, is plenty reasonable.Later that afternoon the worker (maybe owner) called back and said he wanted to clarify a few things with me to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Gave me different options again and even a cheaper one if I wanted it. Ultimately we ended up keeping the same set up we talked about in the store, but he wanted to be sure and thorough. They were definitely thorough!George’s sent me a text yesterday afternoon that my boots were done. I was told a “week or two” and it took a week and a half. So, right within what I was quoted.Finally, the final product? George’s did an amazing job! My Iron Rangers originally had cork soles and I hated them. They had no grip and they were simply uncomfortable. I don’t know what sort of magic George’s does in their back room but these look better than new and they are far, FAR more comfortable under foot.If you’re looking for boot resoling and want high quality work, look no further than George’s.

George's is a great family business! I've had multiple shoes, purses, and belts repaired here. I've also picked up some great shoes and socks, too. I don't know what I'd do without George's to save my favorite shoes.

I am absolutely blown away by the resole they did on a pair of my western boots. I wanted to ditch the original all leather sole and give the boots a more rugged look and they nailed it. Even my fiancés jaw dropped when she saw these (wasn’t a fan of the boots prior to the resole, now she loves them). Super friendly staff and amazing craftsmanship. These guys make me look forward to my next boot repair. I cannot recommend them enough, they will far exceed your expectations.

I sent my hiking boots to George's for some repair work and resoling. I bought the boots 49 years ago when I was a geology student in England. After all that time they were in pretty sorry shape. George's have fixed them up really nicely, and I hope that I will enjoy them for another 49 years, although there is a chance that they may outlast me. For the cost of the repairs I could have bought a brand new pair of good hiking boots that would probably be better than the old ones I have. But the nostalgia value of my boots is priceless to me. I am glad that in our throw-away culture there are still places like George's that can put new life back into my old boots, and also reduce my environmental footprint.

my boots, bought over 20 years ago in Tokyo, finally needed repair. Two Red Wing dealers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area recommended me to George's Shoe & Repair. It took about a week at a cost of about $120 for the repairs and new soles and my boots are good again for maybe the next 20 years!
