The decor is very nice inside. I am sure you are more interested in the food. Hunan style. Certainly some unique dishes to try here. Seems like the Chicken bowl is a fav. We got that as well. I am sure it is prepared in a special way. Some favouring from the pork legs to give it that good taste. A little on the pricey side. But certainly worth the visit. Not sure why the lower rating.

For sure authentic and delicious, 5-star no doubt, but I can also see why some people don’t like it—the overall flavor is a bit on the sweet side and if you’re expecting that hardcore hot n spicy Hunan food, you might get disappointed. Also it’s slightly pricy—we’re visiting from San Francisco and it’s almost as expensive as foods of the same level there.But regardless, 砂锅鸡 is probably the best chicken I have had for years. Extremely flavorful and I’m already craving for it again…

We went there during lunch time and it wasn’t as busy.The food quality wasn’t as good as I expected from a concept store specializing Hunan cuisine. The clam was salty and rice was bland. The chicken was soft but tasty. The cake had no ube flavour at all. The soup tasted savoury.

Not sure why the average reviews here but this place was delicious! We’ve been searching and craving dong an chicken and it was tender and had a nice citrus taste to it. The smoked tofu and pork dish was also really flavorful. The smoky flavor really soaked into the food and the dish had plenty of tofu and pork

Not my cup of tea. The portion of each dish we ordered was not big. The salty yolk pumpkin was too greasy and not soft or starchy enough. The sticky rice wine shrimp was too sweet, eggplant dishes were average, the pea sprouts was the best one. We might miss the correct ones. The restaurant was crowded and the service was quite slow. It’s not a must-have place for us.BTW, it should be a Hunan style, but I consider it as a fusion restaurant with mixed taste. Can not tell what exactly the style is.

The restaurant looks very attractive from the outside, but the food is disappointing due to dryness and lack of good seasoning. We ordered 7 dishes, including the signature casserole chicken. They were all not as good as what you can get from a random food court.Also, the cutlery and dishware for dine-in were all disposable for some reason. And the seats were very low for the table height.Overpriced. You won't hate it there, but it's not delicious.

Get the chicken and pork shank. It's better than you think. In fact, get one and take another one home. Probably can feed 4 people.The seats are not comfortable, sinks in. Too soft, only acceptable after big meal to rest. Not during eating.

Most authentic and decent hunanese cuisine!We visited twice during our 2nd Vancouver trip,And will do it again if we come to Vancouver next time.
