Nothing but good from Roy-al rentals. We used them for our wedding and with changes due to Covid they were awesome to work with. From Heather in the office to the guys that set up the tent and delivered all the rentals they did a awesome job. Thank you for all your help!

I recently rented dishware and glassware for an adult party. Upon arriving (still mask restrictions) the items in crates and plastic milk cartons were brought out the side door and put on the ground. Despite having called ahead shortly b4 I still had to wait (in the car) because it was raining.While the employee fixed her hair, I, at 77years of age, had to carry these to the car, lifting them up from the ground level. She just stood there!When placing the order I stated I could have them back in 24hrs (the common time frame) but was told I had them for the week

Snooty and indifferent.I have a sneaking feeling that other reviews are written by family members...You’d think Roy-al are renting tickets to the Last Supper, not teacups for lunch.In my few experiences, service is lacking in contact, with little concern for customer experience.Add to that poorly maintained tools and voilá, this review.To wit: trying to rent a floor sander (i own 5 sanders, but not the large floor kind) no-one could suggest the better option for a job which i described - the first choice wasn’t right, and was returned by me (anyone renting out sanders might have known this, see below) so i went with option #2, the drum sander.After a day of frustration, the job was partly done, in what seemed like double the required time - too late i took a closer look at the used belts, and they seemed to be almost unused on one side, heavily used on the other side…. aha! only 1/2 the drum was making contact with the floor, so the work took twice as long. And used twice as many belts since i didn’t notice that.(my job: be more attentive, and look closely at how a machine works, see if it’s up to snuff - adjust if necessary - at least i would’ve seen to flip the belts around and use the other end, although still taking twice as long)So, tool return time.Even snootier counter service on the way back, as if an entitled robot were dealing with a drowned rat.However, even this rat tried to give some feedback - i politely described my experience with the rental, and what seemed to be happening with the machine, sanding on 1/2 the belt only. I also said i’d have to find another rental sander to finish the job.“We’ll look at it” was the response, literally as the door was closing in my face.I thought how much better it would’ve been if the response was something like “really, tell me more, what happened with the machine?” to say nothing of some interest in the idea that, having paid them for a rental, i was now going to rent another machine elsewhere to do the whole job….Part 2, the big box store (Home Depot, Guelph):I try to avoid the big multi-nationals, to give my business to the local stores.In this case, it seems the big store got that way because they are better at the job: they provide excellent service, have solid knowledge about their rentals, and rent well maintained machines.I described the same floor, and got an immediate and correct suggestion for which machine was needed, and why.Then i asked about adjustments and was shown how they check the machine every time, and make necessary changes before it goes out again - specifically they check drum contact with the floor, and correct as required - and i was shown how to do this in case of mis-alignment.Well yes, the tool worked, and i also learned more about it in the bargain.Guess where my business goes from now on……?Never again to Royal!

dance floor was set up and was unsafe. Uneven, raised steel edges; installers would not fix; we had to get outdoor carpet and tape down around edge so people would not trip and cut themselves on raised steel edge

This company is a joke. I called to get a quote on tent rentals for our June 2024 wedding and was told they would NOT be able to quote me as I do not have an exact address for the location. I told the girl to use Milton as an example, as this is most likely where it will be held and she STILL refused to give me any semblance of a quote due to not having an EXACT address for the reception. RIDICULOUS!!!! What does the RENTAL COST of tents/tables/chairs have ANYTHING to do with a delivery fee???I am QUITE AWARE that delivery is based on distance. DOES NOT change the COST of all rentals!!!! WHAT A JOKE this company is!!!! I will take my business elsewhere. DO NOT USE!!!

The biggest stress of my wedding planning was dealing with Royal Rentals. They were rude and condescending. Anytime I had to call with questions, they made me feel like I was bothering them. It was honestly very upsetting how much they made me worry. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, I didn’t need them adding to it, especially when we were paying them thousands of dollars. The guys that came and set up were friendly and nice, but over the phone/at the store, they have terrible customer service.

Roy-al Rentals was great to deal with for a work event! They provided expert advice for all the items we were looking for, and some that we didn't even realize that we needed. The entire process was smooth from the initial phone call right through to the delivery and pickup. All the items were high quality and looked great. 10/10 would recommend.

Once again big thanks to Brian and his crew for providing the tent, lights & equipment for our annual event. The set up and take down was extremely easy and they provided first class service and it looked awesome. We have called on Royal Rentals several times over the years and can always count on them to provide what was discussed and depend on them show up on time. Brian was accommodating to last minute changes, especially during COVID when we had to reschedule. i would highly recommend Royal Rentals for your event.

Amazing company to work with. They put up with all my changes and questions, very informative and helpful. The delivery was fast efficient and professional. Pick up was equally as great, the guys doing the work were polite and professional! Highly Recommend!

I was utterly shocked by the rude service. It felt like I was the biggest inconvenience for placing an order. I've never quite experienced anything like it.Someone else described it as snotty and I couldn't agree more.I wish there was another service provider in Guelph that rented linens and place settings because I would rather go anywhere but Roy-al Rentals.I rarely write Google Reviews but the service was so poor that it was needed.
