BON TON MEAT MARKET

I've been going to Bon Ton meat market for probably 10 years now. Meat prices have gone up a lot in that time! However, they have only amazing quality products and great service. I used to go more often but meat prices have gone up so much over the past four years.I have purchased many products there from the counter: pork shoulder, ground veal, whole chickens, chicken wings and thighs, veal cordon bleu, sausages, bacon, ready-made ribs and wings, striploins, t-bones, ribeyes and sirloin in addition to prepared salads and many delicious desserts. I've purchased freezer items like game sausages, beef broth and tuna steaks plus eggs and cheeses away from the counter. All amazing! I love the blueberry bison sausages, the prepared seafood salad and cinnamon bun cheesecake the most. The only problem I have ever had in a decade has been with a dessert from the counter still being a little bit frozen.I regularly ask the butchers to cut or tenderize beef for me as well and appreciate that service!

I have been hoing to Bon Ton for over 40 years, first when they were downtown, then Edmonton Trail, then Uxbridge driven now up at the Crowfoot location.Over the 40 years yhe meat pies were always consistent, lots of beef, the flavor was amazing, just the right amounts of gravey. The aromas, you knew it was Bon Ton.However yesterday this all changed, My friend and I purchased a steak pie, steak and kidney pie and a chicken pie. We were so disappointed , it was all gravey, with very little meat. There was no flavor. It was worse then getting a frozen pie from a grocery store.I am not sure if they changed the recipe. This is the second time my friend purchased pies and they were all gravey. and little meat.We also purchased a Sante Fe bean salad med sized , didn't realize until afterwards it was over $14.00.We will not be returning to Bon Ton for future purchases

Absolutely love it. The difference in taste and texture from the stuff u get at big box stores is unbelievable!!

I hold a regular Robbie Burns night. My usual butcher that made my haggis went under during the shutdowns. I tried Bon Ton and was really happy with their product. I had a few haggis first timers this year and everyone loved it. Good texture and seasoning. They do haggis well.

I loved this store when I walked in and saw the variety of meats and other things. It’s pricey but every smaller store is. But, paying a high price is fine but when the meat is BAD, that’s not fine I bought some organic chicken I only eat organic and they had a huge amount of drumsticks sitting in a large stainless steel pan. He took my chicken out and put it in a bag and I went home an hour later to cook it and it smelled so bad. Check your meats because a lot of people don’t have a good sense of smell. He also could not answer my questions about what type of organic meat it was (where it came from)

Love coming for coco brooks frozen items and banana bread as well as bbq meats. Keep drooling over baked treats as I walk by display case!

I first started going to Bon Ton Meat Market at the original location on Centre Street in downtown Calgary and followed them when they moved to the Stadium shopping center. I'm delighted that this business is now over 100 years old and has a great location in Crowfoot. Although it's further away for me, it's worth the drive to come here and get their delicious meat pies salads and desserts!

Great quality meats. I had the best bone-in roast I’ve ever had last thanksgiving and another delicious roast this Christmas. We don’t buy meat often, so when we do, we come here to get the best. We also tried their chessecake recently and oh my, I need to try them all now! I had the white chocolate lime cheesecake and you won’t be disappointment with it.

I've been coming to this market for decades. I always love the grab and go meat pies. Even in the new building, nothing has changed. Nice work!

I usually buy the frozen oval pies and occasionally pick- up pork pies. This time I picked up a sausage roll and it was awful! A breakfast sausage wrapped in pastry is NOT a sausage roll. British would all be appalled. The sausage also tasted off or like it had too much oregano? Oval pie this time had 3 whole potatoes inside and hardly any meat or vegetables. Should have taken a picture.Will try one more time
