Comfort Inn Hwy. 401

Our stay at the hotel was fine however, the day after we left I noticed bed bug bites on my body and then my husband did as well. We notified the hotel. They checked the 3 rooms that we occupied and said they didn't find anything but called in a 3rd party who did find a live adult in one of the rooms which they removed. Once they removed the bug they claimed it was a negative inspection and said they were given a clean bill of health which makes no sense. If there is one there is more. once I shared this concern with them they did inspect again and treated the one room. They did take the matter seriously however, I don't like how we were treated through the process. Both my Mom and I spoke on the phone with the VP of operations who spoke down to us and made us feel like we did something wrong and we were being investigated. She refused to refund our stay until our houses were inspected. She said this was for our piece of mind but it felt more like she was trying to place blame on us like we brought the bugs in. Ultimately, I am satisfied that we did in the end receive a refund because our houses were free of any bed bugs and I was happy to have the inspection for piece of mind however, I don't like the way the VP spoke to me. She was so rude and raised her voice when I said she was brushing us off every time we brought up the refund. I wish I could have recorded the way she spoke to me so I could play it for her boss. I never received an apology for it either. We also never received an apology for having to deal with this. Not only are the bites gross and uncomfortable but once we realized the situation we inspected our home ourselves, cleaned all our sheets, blankets, pillows, kids stuff animals etc., we bought bed bug traps and spray and had to make ourselves available for a company to come in and inspect. They didn't even acknowledge this extreme inconvenience. Instead the VP raised her voice at me when I asked for a refund and talked down to me and acted like I was being investigated.I will never stay at a Comfort Inn again due to the way I was treated. If you are staying at this hotel I recommend you check the beds.

Located just off the highway, in a great location amongst any amenities that you might want/need. Lady at the front was very helpful and patient, as it was really busy upon check in period. Room was clean however smelled very musty and old.

I stayed here for 2 nights, and woke up covered in bed bug bites. I am very thorough person so I checked both mattresses as I always do, the bathroom was clean as were the towels and the bedding, but I woke up the second morning covered in welts and bites, then proceeded to find 1 bed bug on the wall as I got up. I immediately packed my things as I was leaving anyway and I told the front desk about the issue, and they said this exactly; That room isn't normally one of our problem areas." I kid you not this is what was said. They didn't charge me for either night

Got absolutely devoured by bedbugs in May 2023. I stayed here only one night for work and a day later had bites on my arms, legs, hands and feet. I am so disgusted. Just a warning - stay anywhere else!! I'm still itching almost a week later.The hotel rooms in general are not cleaned well, seems like they might be having a staffing issue.

It is close to some fast food restaurants. We stayed two nights here for $560. If you have kids, this might not be your best option. There is nothing fun for children. They serve coffee in their tiny lobby.
