Safeway Unity Square
I always have a great experience here. It’s not my main go to supermarket because of location but when I’m in the area, I love popping in to explore this beautifully organized supermarket and it’s curated aisles of all types of food. The deli section is small but very impressive and their baked goods can easily knock all other supermarket’s off the park. They also have ready made meals that I haven’t tried yet but they look delicious. Prices are very reasonable and comparable to other less customized supermarkets.

I was there a couple times at the deli and both times I see the staff being yelled at. The deli manager was rude and doesn’t have any managing skills she treats her staff horribly. Safe way used to be a good store my family shopped at Safeway for years. But now I will never go back to that safeway. There are some good workers. But then there are some that don’t seem to do anything

Nice, cool, and clean store. Lay out is a little confusing. Service could use some work. Two women working at the counter, the one finishes with the person ahead of me, then walks off......I had to wait almost 5 more minutes for the other lady to be able to serve me. I'm disabled and use a chair, so she might not have seen me. Which goes to show, they should adjust the way they serve people.

Love the staff location and store. Just sad that milk and creamer is the farthest walking distance from the entrance. I don't get milk or creamers often, because all stores put them at the very back of the storeMy broken leg has arthritis so it is a long walk

A bit of a exterior uplift is in progress, but still open for public like always fine selection of groceries, and other general items,bakery, phermacy they making fresh deli sandwiches cooking hot food and etc, gas station ontop having Starbucks to be honest i personally consider this is by far well organized, fair pricing grocery store in around Downtown core.

I want to be clear that almost all the staff are great, BUT if a single employee continues to wear a mask, I will rate the store this low. Masks were known not to work before the pandemic, during, and especially now. If you were able to force your employees and customers to wear one during the pandemic when there was no evidence that they worked, certainly you can stop your employees from wearing one now when it is obvious they don't work. You are allowing your employee to spread disinformation about health by wearing that mask as you pay them.
