CARP

They've called me 4 times this week. Twice today.If I hang up on the first call, you're not going to get any further with subsequent ones.

CARP is a supporter of the Kensington Retirement Home in Oakville, Ontario. They accept early stages of Dementia clients but staff are not trained to deal with them and or keep them safe, and or provide activities designed for that category or clients. Also their medical care is poor. The good staff keep leaving. Management makes all kinds of promises when you visit the premise. If your family member does not have all their faculties, this is not a place to put them.This posting is based on 10 months of mom living there!

C(r)AP company that will never allow you to unsubscribe until you start having nightmares about their newsletter and seek professional help to deal with email anxiety. The terror of choosing ‘Unsubscribe’ to just seeing them popping up on your inbox again is real!

Is it appropriated using CARP to push a personal agenda in Surrey? Based on the conversation I had today with the cancellation person, I wish that I could give zero stars. Disgusting!!! He actually fought with me telling me that I had requested a service during a conversation I had with him in July, 2017. Do they think that we are seniors with dementia?? I am 58 and remember the conversation very well. I told him the same thing that I told him today. We did not sign up for long distance service and requested that they stop the service immediately. He applied pressure at that time and I agreed to consider the information that he had given me and get back to them if I decided to switch. The FIGHT, and I mean fight continued for 10 minutes until I asked to speak to his manager. He told me that the manager would get back to me within 48 hours. He also told me that my credit rating would be impacted if I did not pay the $46 that I have never been billed for. This outfit has a website that appears legit, but it has scam written all over it. Stay as far back as possible! I am totally comfortable providing this review in advance of speaking with the manager. The interaction with the person I spoke to today was the worst customer service experience that I have ever had.

I am currently not a carp member and that's why I gave them an average rating, but after reviewing the number of complains about the company, I have decided not to take a chance and give them the business in membership or insurance, I need to deal with companies that have a near perfect record in customer relations and by the looks of it this company does not fix to that criteria. Its not all about how much money you can save, its who can you trust to take care of your needs when you really need them.

Disgusting experience with CARP'S recommended Insurance company, Zenith/Mcllellan Group. These people should not have anything to do with seniors. They are just after our money, provide NO customer service, are rude and completely inconsiderate on the phone. STAY AWAY from CARP's recommendations. Since I switched to an independent insurance company, I am being treated like a human being, and my premium went DOWN almost $1200/ year. STAY AWAY from CARP's recommendations.Update:Having left CARP in 2016 and found independent Insurance and Travel Agencies and everything else I need on my own, I am being treated by these independent companies - who have nothing to do with CARP - like a valued customer and they are saving me thousands of $$$ every year, as opposed to how CARP and their associates treated me. I will never go back to any companies associated or recommended by CARP. They are a Senior Citizen's scam and nightmare. They just grab your money and run with it. When I needed help, they just ignored me or were extremely rude to me over the phone, but they kept billing me for whatever I had signed up for. I and my entire family are staying far away from CARP and any of their recommendations for the rest of our lives. Give your business to independent companies who will value you as a client and help you when you need help, and who do not target Senior Citizens to scam their money out of them, like CARP and their associates do, charging thousands $$$$$ above the normal industry rates for their services!

The daily emails started almost immediately, I unsubscribed to everything and changed my profile for no contact. Yet they keep coming, today I get emails from CARP member companies an insurance company AND cell phone where they have shared my email address. I tried to get my money back after 2 weeks but was told that is a non-profit so cannot. I don't believe that. Do not sign up unless you are looking to fill your in basket.

Terrible Customer Service. I don't want to email, or send a fax. I would like to speak to a human. I don't feel they are truly interested in helping Seniors, only taking their money for membership.

Baloney about CARP being non partisan! Heard for the first time today on the radio any positive reference re: Conservatives listening to seniors concerns about about economic and financial stability. Bill Van 'Whiner' is usually looking for NDP and Liberal handouts that will further crippled efforts to build back our economy.econ
