I visited The Dorset about 2 weeks after moving to Calgary from Victoria. I was greeted and welcomed by staff as soon as I walked in (Wednesday Afternoon). The bartender (Michaela?? I think) was super friendly and helpful in suggesting food and drinks.The room is very nicely decorated and the furniture is high quality…. I know that sounds weird, but it adds to the atmosphere.I’ll defiantly be back :-)

My husband and I came here for a lovely evening out. The battered mushrooms we shared were delicious. I enjoyed my fish and chips. My husband said the potatoes in his bangers and mash was good but he would have liked the dish better if there was less potato and the sausages weren't as dry. Regardless, we're glad there is another pub near where we live and plan to return for drinks at a later date.

The Dorset Pub is a great place to come, anytime of the week. Awesome food, great service from the staff. Always a great experience when I visit here for a drink. Also, would recommend the sticky toffee pudding, to anybody looking for a sweet tasty treat when you drop by. Thanks again guys at the Dorset. See you in the again, in the near future.

I live in the SW and used to frequent Donegals, in fact it was my watering hole. Then it sold and it has been a string of places that I never much cared for. The latest place, The Dorset, is very nice inside, they have excellent food and a nice tap lineup, but until recently, their happy hours have really lacked.Well, they've certainly upped their game, and listened to feedback, because their Wednesday happy hour special is fantastic. They serve 20oz Railyard IPA and lager pints for $5. I friggin' love a 20oz pint in my hand, rather than 16. It's also their wing night, and this is what $5 will get you.This is may be the 4th or 5th time I've been in here, and service has always been real good.I'm pretty stoked about this, to be honest. I have always loved the ambiance there.

Since its New Name and Ownership i can now say this pub is worth Checking out. The food and service is night and day better, the kitchen is delivering lots of classics and non traditional dishes to choose from aswell. I will be back to try more for sure.

Had a very good experience here. Authentic food and fast service. Fish n Chips was very good, burger was good, deep friend pickles and mushrooms were very good. I recommend if you’re looking for pub food in a clean and warm atmosphere.

Surprisingly good! I was very impressed by the bangers skillet (see photo), and on a previous visit I really liked the steak & kidney pie and the Dorset bites. They have great specials every day of the week and an excellent happy hour.

Great new spot for English pub fare, good specials and rotating taps with British beers. I like to pop in for the Sunday prime rib or to watch the odd soccer game. Good addition to the neighborhood, solid service, and nice interior.

A great pub, you don't want to miss this one. The food is really good and the staff and service are excellent. This pub is added to my list of best pubs in Calgary.We all had the fish and chips, which we enjoyed, the mushroom and steak bites, the crème brulée, sticky toffee and coffee to finish off. Very nice....

Ok second visit to Dorset pub. Gave it a couple of weeks after the grand opening.Great to see more pub grubOf course we had to try the $5 wingsWe tried the hot, bbq and a couple other flavours. Not impressed, the waitress said they were brined for 24 hours. To me they were way too salty. The overwhelming flavour was salt in all the different flavours. Also the wings were dry and hard to chew. I finished the first order and we ordered battered mushrooms. These were very good salt and pepper seasoned, crispy and juicy. Definitely would have those again.We had the bbq seasoned next since the gentleman at the other table had them and they looked very good. But like the first order dry and salty. We tried each flavour of wings and the taste and texture was the same. We did not finish the second order. The size and condition of the wings varied ( broken bones). The varying size would explain the dryness of the wing.The staff were friendly enough friendly greetings from some of the staff as they passed by the table. No live music tonight which made conversation easier.We saw the owners of the Pub but they did not circulate to talk with the patrons this time. It would have been nice if they did. We debated between a rating of 3 or 4. Overall a good experience just need to give more focus on the quality of the food.
