A & B Alternators & Starters

I have been a customer since 1979 they taught me how to locate and remove the starter on my very first car by phone, before walk about phones and I was a long ways from the receiver , then years later another starter problem that was very difficult , they never gave up . Now 46 years later on my 27 year old pick up they rebuilt my alternator, it is the shiniest part of my ole truckI thought my truck was finally a goner ... NEVER SPILL OIL ON THE ALTERNATOR could also start a fire . Forever grateful , I had been ripped off hundreds of dollars on fixing the starter before I got back to Nanaimo. A automotive business with integrity is a rare find

Rebuilt starter for my bobcat at a fraction of the cost of a new starter and received it back next day. Will be a return customer for sure!

Very happy with this guy. He fixed my old Honda starter, made it work like new, price was very reasonable, so much cheaper than a rebuilt unit at the local big franchise autopart store

6 months ago my wife's Alternator went in her van. I brought it in to be repaired and it was fixed within the day. FIXED WITHIN A DAY. Back in the van and it was great. Just today June 2022 the same repaired alternator blew again for some reason. These guys honored their warranty NO PROBLEM and it was fixed again WITHIN THE SAME DAY. I cant express how amazing this service is to have. Great guys and honest. Cant Recommend enough!

Steve at A&B alternators and starters was great! A&B came highly recommended by a mechanic friend of mine to rebuild my starter and after doing some online research for pricing to replace my starter, discovered that almost everything out there was rebuilt as well. I took the starter I wanted rebuilt as well as another that I figured I could donate to A&B in the hopes of bringing my cost down to them. In the end Steve was able to use parts out of the 'donor' to put into the one I wanted which did in fact drop my cost to well below what I was looking at paying for a rebuild on line and it was back in my hands 10 days or more sooner. I installed the starter and it has been working just fine since, money well spent! I have also since heard from another mechanic friend that A&B is where he would always take his rebuilds as well. Now (I'm no mechanic but) I would most certainly highly recommend A&B Alternators and Starters along with my friends that clearly knew what they were talking about.
