As a support person behind the scenes. This college is very disorganized and has the wrong people in management in the nursing program. I would strongly advise not sending any students to this program. I would also very very strongly say do not teach for this program. The chair should be replaced. Immediately

I went to RDC in 1994 & graduated in 1998 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RDC & U of A collaborative program). The profs were friendly, approachable and supportive.Living in the residence for 4 years! Love it! Save time for travel. Very convenient!Thank to RDC now RDP!

The only positive part of my experience with RDP was my instructors who were amazing. The rest of this place is a joke and I won’t be back.-communications take forever to the point you miss deadlines for applications, etc-consistently avoid answering questions clearly-consistently leaves out important information regarding your questions when they do decide to answer-will give one student the run around for something that another student had no issues with (and is offered regularly)-leaves students with little to no information about courses until courses have officially began-course registration is a mess (especially open-studies)-lacks consistency in course structures-lacks common courtesy to students in general

Great profs and lots of plants. The building is old, but the newer parts are lovely. The only complaint I have is that the wifi barely works so it’s hard to get assignments done on campus.

I've been a student here 3 times, I've taken the HCA Program, Open studies and I am now working on a degree. I've had a great experience each time with RDP. The instructors are amazing, such interesting people who truly are experts in their fields. I have not met a single staff who has treated me with anything but respect and genuine care. The only complaint I have is some of the fees and obvious money grabs I see here. $130 fee for me to pay my tuition online with a credit card? Seriously? Not to mention having to pay for benefits although I have comparable coverage, I opted out before I even paid my tuition and came to find that they do not offer a refund, just a credit onto my account. So RDP gets my money whether I like it or not. Especially as someone who does not use student loans the money grabs are especially irritating but that comes with the territory when you're in post secondary I suppose. All in all I would absolutely recommend RDP, this place is an absolute gem in our small city. Thank you for educating me, RDP!

Great place for events and going to classes. Love how some of the professors even come out to the student run events.

We went to the RD Symphony last night (also 5 stars) at Red Deer Polytechnic. There is ample free evening parking within a very short walk of the theater building. Seating was comfortable for a 2 to 3 hour event. Drinks can be purchased in a refillable lidded glass to reduce waste. On Friday night we went to the Harris Summer Games facility and were wowed. The hockey venue seating is very sufficient for a college team but I would recommend bringing your own cushion. The basketball venue is even more impressive and quite large. A cushion would help again and the stairs inside seem to exceed normal building standards in heights. There is an elevator for mobility challenged individuals, but maybe some enterprising company out there could donate funds for an escalator. In general we are blown away by the facilities here.

Read the modules and figure it out" is not teaching. Textbooks were not even available until 3 days after classes had started!! Some trades teachers are noticeably stoned and are even so bold as to joke about it during class time. Mostly teachers are simply disengaged and uninterested in the success of their students while they chat on their cell phone working from home during online sessions. Teachers are unprepared for their classes and have not even looked at their modules they are supposed to teach
