Barriere Motor Inn BMI

I've stayed here several times in the last five years. I'm glad to have somewhere to stay for sport tournaments but the cleanliness is a massive problem.My room had silverfish in the bathroom, dead flies under the pillows and dirty walls.The staff were ok but the restaurant is always under staffed.Some of the food was decent like the quesadillas, but some was pretty poor. The potatoes are greasy and undercooked often.Everything could be overlooked but flies in our beds are unacceptable. I hope in the last year things have changed.

The room was very small the website said 86.00. When I checked in was charged 113. There was no coffee in room not even a glass to have water. Could not open bathroom door would hit the toilet. Restaurant did not open till 8. Will never stay there again. Nobody was there when we left.

Food was good. Drinks were great but what made the visit was the service. The girl working here got hit when the pub suddenly got busy due to hwy issues. She maintained a positive attitude, was attentive and friendly to everyone. You could tell she was getting tired but she still stopped of a quick word or check in. Impeccable service.

What a poor experience! The room was dirty and very small. I had issues with the toilet and the door lock. I don't often feel that uncomfortable at a hotel/motel. I took all my valuables with me during the day, as I felt that uncomfortable at the place. Just not a good experience and I'll never be back.

I didn't even stay.... one look at the room and I left. It's a complete dump. The pictures make it look way better than the reality. The walls were filthy, wood blocks holding up the beds, in desperate need of maintenance. I have no clue how they can consider the rooms safe, nor to code with only flimsy interior doors with pop handle locks. The staff were pleasant and asked what was wrong with the room". I didn't have the heart to tell them how appalled I was. I paid for the night but I'm still kicking myself for not asking for all of my money back. The hotel is not as advertised."

This is a good place to stay when you are passing through Barriere, BC. The rooms are dated and worn, it is pet-friendly and smelled like a dog kennel in the hallway. That being said, I believe the price is fair for what you get. The lady that checked us in was very polite. The food at the restaurant was good, and our waitress Tiffany was one of the nicest people I have ever met.

We booked this hotel as it was the most reasonably priced for this area. The photos on their website and through Expedia present an updated room that looks clean and appealing. This was absolutely NOT the case. The photos on the website and on Expedia look NOTHING like the actual rooms. If we could have walked out the door and kept driving through the night, we would have. We were incredibly disappointed to have been so misled about the condition of the property and rooms. Our sheets had cigarette burns on them, paint was chipped and missing all over the entire room and bathroom. There are literally NO amenities other than a TV and a mini fridge, not even a clock. The room was pet-friendly which was great but the stairs leading to the pet area were a deathtrap with nails sticking out of them. I would NOT recommend staying at this property. Keep driving.

The room was small but clean, beds were comfortable. Bathroom appeared clean but a strong mold smell was present. Ceiling in bathroom looked a bit scary. Did not feel secure, air conditioner was very loud.

The staff is super nice. The rooms are tiny and no frills but the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. There is a great restaurant but they only open at 2:00 in the off season. There is also a pub but we didn't go there. The location is very convenient. I wouldn't stay here for a week but it's great for a night or two.
