Long Point Provincial Park
Beautiful park! Seeing mixed reviews about the beach; as someone who grew up on Lake Huron, I found the beach and sand to be softer and less rocky. You can run right into the water at Long Point! I do agree on campsites being a bit too open, but we had some nice trees that gave us shade and our site was great for car camping. We had space to hang up a hammock and drying line. We saw lots of birds, chipmunks and insects. Overall a great stay!

Quiet enough and very relaxing. There's plenty of room for families to enjoy both the sand area and the beach itself. Beach and picnic areas seem to be pretty well-maintained.There's no place to shower, just a tap outside the washrooms to rinse the sand off of your feet/hands and the water gets super cold. The washroom (women's) is OK, clean enough but could use some regular maintenance throughout the day.You can get a nice shaded spot but you have to be there early as they go real fast. It's a bit more crowded to the right of the beach so if you want that sort of thing you want to turn right on the parking lot after you check in at the gate and access the beach from there; otherwise, the parking/beach access to the left is perfect for people like me who don't like it too crowded. There's a picnic area with picnic tables and barbecue grill steps away from the beach.

Beautiful park. Washrooms we’re always clean, we stayed at Turtle Dunes campground. We got to see a turtle right on our campsite! Our site was right next to the beach and we loved it.

Beautiful huge beach scattered with trees on Lake Erie. Red sand in areas. Shallow waters, sand dunes. Be respectful and clean up after yourselves when you visit!

Updated***It’s even more stunning in the summer with sand dunes, blue, clear waters of Lake Erie all in the lush backdrop of the provincial park! Just when I thought I had seen the most stunning provincial park, this gem of rustic and pure beauty raised the bar! From the drive through Port Dover to Port Rowan,it’s a rolling, winding drive through pastures, waterways & quaint towns. The park itself, is rural, rustic & somewhat desolate at this time of the year, as nearing end of season, but the sand dunes, red sands & roaring waves of Lake Erie’s warm waters was a paradise getaway, all in a day’s trip:) Aside from the scattered picnic tables on the beach shore, amenities are throughout the campsite. If you prefer the “road less travelled “, this maybe very enticing! Since it was my first visit, very likely the ambience & visitors are significantly enhanced in peak season but nevertheless, planning to return. Some of the road signs: “Turtles crossing”,“Give wildlife a chance” & the scariest for me was the sign,” Brake for snakes “. Enjoy!

My recent visit to Long Point Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada was a mixed experience. The campsite was underwhelming with cramped spaces and limited privacy. The beach was disappointing too, with coarse sand and a lack of cleanliness. On the positive side, the park's hiking trails offered beautiful scenery and a chance to enjoy nature. The friendly staff was also a highlight. Overall, while the park has its merits, the campsite and beach may leave some visitors wanting more.

Great place to go camping! Beach is clean the sites are big enough to fit 2 tents and a kitchen tent if needed. Bathroom is decent. The drive isn’t too bad coming from Toronto area.

I was only able to get to the beach area as there were signs stating no entrance to the actual Provinvial Park parking lot. For this reason is why my rating is so low. That was the point of me going there, not for some beach as I am not a beach goer. So, for me, it was a waste of $18 and gas coming from the Niagara Region.
