Great hike! It starts walking along the slanting big rock (might want to avoid rainy days as that could get slippery) then you go up and walk through the forest. Lots of great lookouts. We parked our car at the little park in Flatrock. Nice 2ish hour hike there and back.

Quaint and quiet trial in Flatrock with a beautiful ocean view. Not too high up, and if you can catch it in the afternoon, you’ll see a beautiful sunset.

Flatrock is beautiful! If you are in the area visiting, definitely go for the hike here. The times I have visited it has not been nearly as busy as other hikes in the area. The hike itself is very stimulating due to the wild berries growing on the path, as well as the unique flat rocks that give the location its namesake. Very very enjoyable!!
