Kootenay River Runners (Kicking Horse River Basecamp)

Wow, had an amazing day on the Kicking Horse River with Dean, our guide. I don't use superlatives like awesome" lightly but Dean was " awesome". He realised I was anxious about the trip and was so considerate. The company has a very strong safety ethic and I felt so safe with Dean. An informative as well as exciting experience. These folks were just absolutely awesome! So much fun. Our guide was Ben. He was hilarious and made the trip exciting in a good way. Very communicative and clearly stated what to expect during the journey. The safety chat for the group was extremely serious and very effective. I would do the trip again in a heartbeat if in the area. The rafts were reassuringly new and in good condition compared to another rafting company that we saw. They had a guy taking pictures along the way and the photos were reasonably priced and very high quality.The Kicking Horse was running at about 80 cubic meter/s (considered low) and still it was a blast. This was our first time doing serious whitewater rafting (sorry Delaware River!).The rafting was was the highlight of our trip to the Canadian Rockies.

Took the family on a whitewater trip today and had a great time. Bill our guide did an awesome job running us through some great rapids and keeping it really fun for everyone. All while keeping everyone safe! Definitely a highlight of our vacation up here…money we’ll spent!

My friends and I (a group of 9) joined rafting with Kootenay River Runners in Kicking Horse River last Saturday. Bill was our raft guide. BEST RAFT GUIDE EVER! My friend and I had so much fun that day and it was an absolutely wonderful experience for us. We got to see the beautiful and peaceful part of the river as well as the raging part of it. Bill is really professional, fun, and encouraging the whole time and he made sure we all had a great time and ensured our safety. Definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in trying rafting for the first time.

We went there two days ago. The people were very friendly, our leader Peter was very helpful, friendly and professional.They gave us very good equipment for the rafting.I recommend their rafting club.

Had a great time today it was nice weather and great views, and on top of that, we had a great guide. The guide dude we had looks like Craig Cody from animals kingdom lol that made him even cooler. 10/10 would recommend

I recently went on a trip and one of the highlights was the water rafting experience with Kootenay River Runners. The guides were knowledgeable and made sure we had a great time. The scenery was breathtaking and the rapids were thrilling. I would definitely recommend Kootenay River Runners to anyone looking for an adventure.

I couldn't have had a better experience with Ian and Dean, rafting the Kicking Horse in 4°C water. The extreme knowledge and skill we're definitely on display and they provided excellent guiding and local food and drink recommendations! Felt safe every minute.
