The manager at this store is incredibly condescending. I absolutely despise shopping when she's working, regardless of the staff member that Im interacting with, she always takes over without being asked. She does not understand working with different skin tones that are not like hers. It is beyond infuriating trying to explain to her multiple times that certain colours do not work for my skin tone. I tried explaining how in the summer I go close to 5 shades darker, but the looks she gives me is like I grew a second head. Very disappointing that there are no POC staff members at this location. During my most recent shopping experience every product that was pushed or promoted were complimentary for light skin tones - not darker. When I asked about the Fenty line, a makeup line that has many benefits for a coloured person, she redirected me to lady Gaga's line. I wanted to know more about Fenty's products, but there was no one there that was willing to take the time to show me more. Each time I shop at Sephora Im spending at bare minimum $100. Disappointed in the service after numerous visits to this location.

best location in the hamilton/burlington area! limeridge and mapleview are fine but this one is bigger and carries way more makeup and skincare brands, including luxury brands. alexis was the associate that helped me and she was great. i had a million and one questions about both makeup and skincare and she was so helpful and knowledgeable in both departments. she gave me tips on how to use products i already own rather than trying to sell me on new ones, but i still bought almost everything she recommended x

This location is incredible - so well maintained! I was helped by Lauren today and she was such a gem to work with. Lauren was so helpful and kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about every product we discussed. She took her time with matching my foundation shade, and was lovely overall! I would definitely recommend this location, and Lauren specifically because she is the best!

I would give 0 stars if I could but some of the employees (the very FEW women of colour) actually took the time to assist me and considered my opinions. The white employees were too busy ignoring me unless they were telling me the absolutely wrong recommendations (like they could not imagine that I AM using the products correctly, different products just work with diff skin types). Not to bring race into it, I believe that makeup is for everybody, but if you don't know, just say that you don't know so someone else can help!!! Finally, I get to the cashier (she was about middle-aged, short, tan, black-rimmed glasses) and the horror show doesn't stop there, she was SUPER pushy with signing me up for this email thing and I finally relented just so she could stop (will be unsubscribing ASAP) BUT THEN she looks to my boyfriend and tries to get him to subscribe too!!! SMH... I just wanted to buy makeup today but she kept pushing skin care once I was checking out. I completely understand that retail is a lot of pressure and there are quotas to meet, but the quota for compassion and empathy is in short supply at this Sephora location.

I was looking at the Dior lip oils. There were some of the testers and the ones in the packages behind it, but they were so many colours sorted confusingly behind them with the black package and the silver. I wanted to make sure I got the right one I had previously. I opened a couple packages to see what colour matched the testers since they were sorted in different colour packages and they didn’t have all the testers that matched the real packages. The packaging was simple to open and caused no problem to shut back, I did not use them I just wanted to see the colours of it because again, they didn’t carry all the testers they had in the real packages. The manager I believe (black glasses, tan skin) was very rude as she told me in a rude manner and tone “you’re not supposed to be opening those they have testers.” I didn’t want to waste my time explaining to her how they don’t have all the tester lip oils since she had an attitude. She then proceeded to tell another employee in front of me to make sure I didn’t switch up the lip oils into different packages, which was very rude and unprofessional. Then she continued to shut the ones I opened in front of me and act all handsy with them. I was not finished looking and shutting the ones I was going to shut and put away and I do shop here regularly. I felt uncomfortable and obligated to just pick one and leave. My boyfriend and other customers thought the same thing as she put on this whole act in the store. I will not be coming back to this location!

cy at this location is absolutely phenomenal!! i came in to find a new foundation match and cy helped me from beginning to end. he was kind, funny, and made me feel super comfortable. he was attentive to my concerns and he is clearly an expert in all things makeup and skincare. highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a+ customer service and makeup recommendations! this will be my go-to sephora from now on because of cy. thank you!

My sister and I were at the Golf Links location in Ancaster today. We had the best customer service by Cy. He is so friendly and knowledgeable and made our experience so fun. He needs a huge promotion or raise as he was absolutely amazing. Great staff like Cy is hard to find. Will definitely be back.

I’ve only had good experiences here! I normally order online (mostly skin care), then pick up at this store and it’s super fast and efficient! The cashiers are always friendly and answer my questions.

What’s up with the sink that “the public is not allowed to use” (yet there is no barricade or sign)? I was scolded today for washing makeup off the top of my hands while holding a basket of $300 worth of makeup. I get that makeup artists work in that area but NOBODY was using them, it is a Sunday, and I did not touch their stations. Seems like a strange way to treat a paying customer. This store always has something that makes it feel unwelcome, and I avoid going in unless I absolutely have to. It would have been one star but there was a lovely staffer who helped me and then checked in on me.

I just wanted to share some feedback regarding my appointment with Karen Dela Fuente on Saturday March 15.I had my makeup done for my baby shower. It has been a long time since I had my makeup done and I was quite nervous about the event. Karen made me feel very comfortable during our appointment. I felt so lucky to have had the opportunity to have my makeup done by her! Her artistry is top level and I received so many compliments at my baby shower!I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated Karen’s efforts and she make me enjoy my day so much more!!Thank you!
