Ken's French Fries

I grew up eating Ken's French Fries from their truck by city hall. I even remember when they used to drive up and down city streets in the evening, bringing their cones filled with deliciously greasy, deliciously salty and vinegary fries to the people of Stratford. Little did I know that Bru Garden is a descendant of Ken's French Fries! I took the family there on Labour Day weekend to have lunch with another family, and we all had super AWESOME burgers, with the same fries I remember from my younger days! I can't believe that they offer malt vinegar as an option now. Everyone knows that Ken's fries MUST use simple white vinegar!!! Everyone enjoyed their meal tremendously. The outdoor dining was quite nice, but be warned that there can be quite a few wasps / yellow jackets buzzing around your meal. This place is definitely worth visiting again (and again and again). I am not sure if it is still the same owners from the 1990s or not (anyone remember Blondie's Burgers???), but if not, they definitely have the original recipe for the fries!

We've had fries from both the mobile truck in Stratford as well as the Bru Garden, where we actually had a meal.Service is quick and the fries are great!Love that they use a re-usable container for the take-out food at the Garden.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Ken's french fries. The worker Darian was very kind and gave suggestions based on my preferences. The food was delicous and a must-try if you're in the area!

Me: yum... This is good food.Me: I can't wait to review this spot!Me: Yep!!!!This is one of those must try places when in town. I don't know what they put on them fries but lawd have mercy. I tried a smash cheese as well and it was fire too. What can I say but you must try Kens fries. Walked down since I wad stay at the Bradshaw. Before I realized I had no picture plate, half the food was gone! It was cooked to perfection. Man that smash cheese was fire!!! All I can say is thank you for not serving me a bland burger. I enjoyed every bite of it. The fries didn't have a chance. Warm hearty cut fries are delicious. Only had mine salted but there was some sauce on them that gave them an extra kick... Oh wee! I didn't expect to eat them all, bout that. The cup was empty.The next day I found their food truck at Canadian tires. Grabbed a family fry. Wish my dad could've tasted these. What a staple.

Very impressed by Ken's Fries. There was only one person working and they were so fast and friendly. We were expecting a long wait, but were pleasantly surprised.

New owner slapped a wrap on, changed it. Turned out horrible (must have been the food poisoning that happened) and now he’s selling it a couple years later… Go Figure!!!

I used to love this place and get fries all the time but the consistency of service has really dropped for me in the last couple years. I always get a family size fries and the last 3 times I’d gone, I’m barely getting half a container now despite the raised price. Today, I got a nice full container but the fries are not cooked. We r already been pulling back on how much we go here. Sad for what it use to be

I was helping a close friend serve at his food truck at the Dairy Xpo in Stratford today. The truck next to us I noticed was a fry truck I had never heard of. The owner came over near the end of service and offered a burger and I accepted. Folks I have been in the food business for quite a few years (I am no chef but I know good food) and I was so impressed with the double smash cheese burger! Delicious, substantial, and certainly not your regular fare. Topped with smoked cheese it was excellent, and they have very good french fries as well. These people are culinary professionals, and the truck was pretty fantastic also. A great twist on burgers and fries, I would definitely recommend them.
