A very negative interaction with these unprofessional stone cutters we wanted to make a purchase but they would not take our call and got emotional and yelly over small criticisms about their practices and not taking our money. Along with them dropping their Better Business Bureau accreditation in 2017 and misrepresenting themselves as if they have it for 2 years. Based on the fact that they're still in business as well as other reviews that I've read on their work, and an interaction that I had with their technicians, as opposed to their showroom guy / manager, I would say that the technical aspect of their work is good.That being said they are a communication nightmare from my perspective. They are fully capable of leaving harassing phone calls, of leaving the entire project hanging for weeks without any communication, and only get in touch in my experience when they ran out of my money and needed more. They snapped into particularly high gear in my case when the funding source dried up and they were almost literally pounding down my door the next day begging to install the fireplace so that they could be paid.They went from being unresponsive to my phone calls to becoming an inconvenience as I had to try and shoehorn them into my schedule as they wanted to install immediately.As a side note, the main guy that I had to deal with on this project, and the only one that I ever seem to get when I call them, is to me as a woman the definition of sleazy and I feel sexually harassed whenever I talk to him. I will never work with these guys again because they don't inspire my confidence or trust. Since we all know that contractors are a rogue species at the best of times, we should be looking for contractors that inspire a sense of security, seem to have integrity, and perform their work on time and reliably. This was not my experience with Stonetrends.
