Edmonton House

I moved to Canada 2 months ago and I've been in Edmonton House for almost 8 weeks. I was worried after reading some reviews of other big tower blocks and the issues in the doorways with people sleeping and hanging around. There is none of that here. It's a converted hotel (so I was told) and it has that feel. I got a south-facing room because the view is just amazing over the river and bridges (seen it in autumn and now winter). The common room is fantastic and great place to get out of your apartment for a change of scenery if the weather is really cold outside. I can't wait for the weather to get better next year to make more use of my balcony. The pool, gym and shop all mean that no matter if it's -35 degrees outside, you can get your essentials and not be interrupted in your daily routine. I haven't been here long enough to notice any long term issues. The concierge staff are amazing and there is always security on site. You often get event invites for social stuff through the door, so there is that community spirit. It's about 3-4 minute walk to Central Station and next to the main street (Jasper Avenue) in Edmonton. It's about 35 minutes walk to the university and a very nice walk (if not too cold).Some other people commented on the fact you can really hear your neighbours. I have not had an experience like them, but I might have quiet neighbours. You can hear the taps / shower running of connecting apartments and whenever they open balcony doors, using the vacuum cleaner etc. More soundproofing would be very welcome.

I just moved in a week ago, I really like it so far! They were super helpful helping me move in when I was so lost and have been really accommodating and understanding. The pool is really nice and my apartment is very cozy!

One of the better places to live in Edmonton Downtown. It has indoor pool and gym. Also, I like the management here. I just had a small bump of moisture in one of the drywall and after informing the management they just fixed it the very next day. The location is great, right next to river valley and my office. Overall, pretty good place to stay.

I lived here for a bit more than 1 year. The location of the building is good, the amenities are better than any other building I have lived in. Unfortunately that is where the pros end. Management in Edmonton house are the most frustrating management company that I have dealt with. They come across as quite fake when interacting. Also be weary of the positive reviews you see on google.. at one point they were offering $25 giftcard for leaving positive reviews..They also have hidden fees left, right, and center. Not to mention those fees are outrageous. It seems that they get taught to simply take money from their tenants. The move out experience with them was simply one of the worst.They wanted to charge 2 hours of cleaning for me not having cleaned the blades of the hood fan on the stove.. that went down to 1 hour within 2 minutes of me asking them to show me where in the move out package that is mentioned.. just unbelievable.They also wanted to charge me for painting, claiming they paint between tenants.. however, I am almost certain that the apartment was not painted or cleaned properly before I moved in

If you want to be miserable move here, walls are so thin i can hear my neighbours go at it for 4 hours straight while i cry myself to sleep knowing that i wont have any sleep that night. Building is old, the rooms are painted the classic tenet special, half the time the elevators are down, staff is decent. This place is only good for a short stay. And tbh the rent here is expensive for such a old run down building. Cant wait for these hidden fees when I move out that the other reviews are talking aboutIf the 4 hours of them going at it sounds made up trust i wish it was a lie I woulsnt be complaining if it was an hour or so but from 1 am till 6 am of just constant moaning makes you go crazy

Edmonton house community is very welcoming. Rent is fairly priced and you get all the amenities along with the apartment- Gym, Swimming pool, Lounge. Apart from that, they also offer yoga classes yo the residents. The concierge is really helpful in getting things done.

Edmonton House is the perfect residence to live in if you're looking to be located in downtown Edmonton. Compared to all the other options, rent is very fairly priced, and the amenities available — Indoor Pool, Gym, Yoga Studio & Classes, Covered Parkade & More. — far outweigh what other residences offer (if they even offer anything at all!). The views of Downtown and the River Valley also make this a prime location to be living within the heart of Edmonton. Staff is very kind and always ready to help, and the Edmonton House community is quite welcoming. Highly recommended!

Such a nice place, with really friendly workers and beautiful view, never don’t have problems here , apartments are clean and pretty! Really nice place to live your best years! Very convenient location of the building, near transit centers on the LRT, as well as bus stops, everything is great!

Best apartment in Edmonton. You cannot beat the location and amenities at Edmonton House. Carmen, Gloria, and the rest of the staff are truly the best. The residents and other tenants make this such a fun place to be. Great spot for a good time.
