Great meal. Ordered the Matey’s option and the value is great for the price.The “regular sides” could be more, but other than that, I had a great experience and the staff were amazing.

Quick service, although our food did not come out all at the same time. Got the fried rice first, then just my dish and then my dad's and last we got the fries. The captains boil sauce tastes a little different to other locations as well

Had a beautiful family birthday dinner celebration. We had the Pirates Feast. My wife, kids and mother-in-law loved it. Excellent value for seafood lovers.

We gave $20 tip for our $100 meal (2 people) The waiter came to ask to pay her more since she doesn’t get paid and she is surving from tips. These interactions were extremely unprofessional and awkward; this left a bad taste/client experience. The worst thing is that She didn’t even move and kept asking to increase her tip!! Will not be coming to this location again!! PAY YOUR STAFF SO THEY DONT BEG FOR MONEY FROM YOUR CUSTOMERI have been to Captain's Boil before but will not visit the York Mills location again because of the lack of customer service.

I was a regular customer here at this yorkmills location.However for a few months now they have been stingy on food amounts even though they change their prices constantly.I decided to write this review so people would understand the change and dissapointment.For the past 3 times I've order over 50 dollars worth of food, they have jipped us the food. Each time raising the price.First time; food costs roughly 60 bucks. We didn't get our free drinks and we were jipped the extra fish. As you normally get 3 pieces of fish with the fish and chips meal.Second time; we paid almost 70 dollars-1 free drink, again no extra fish.3rd time; this evening. 80 dollars, still jipped on the fish, jipped on the fries that come in the take out box andddddddd jipped on the 12 dollar orange shrimp rice.Soooooo dissapointed.I know they are jipping the food because I would go to the Markham location when this one is closed to due to no customer's.The markham location still serves fish and chips with 3 fish, a full box of fries and rice filled to the brim.Lesson learnt you want good food, worth the price, filled the way it should be pre pandemic state- Markham location is the go to!The pictures I am uploading will show how this yorkmills location has changed.As a result they have now lost my service.There is only so many times a person will accept recession from a location who continues to inflate the pricing but reduce the food.Shame on you captains boil. Shame on you!

Came here for dinner on a Monday night with friends and was seated right away as the place was quite empty. I ordered 1lb of mussels with the captain’s boil sauce but it was very different from any other location I’ve been to. It wasn’t bad but I’m confused why it was so different because the colour, consistency, taste, and smell were all different from what I’m used to, it was closer to a creamy rose tteokbeoki sauce.No real issues with the service. It was quick and they regularly checked on us to refill our waters.Would still rather go to a location that makes the sauce the way I’m used to but not a bad spot.

I was extremely excited to bring my friend to Captain's Boil as she had never been.The calamari was good but I was disappointed with the lobster poutine as it lacked lobster.Both fried rice dishes and wings were delicious.The mussels had way too much garlic in the Captain's Boil sauce.What disappointed me the most was the customer service. I asked for a simple substitution for my meal to not have fries but I would prefer to have corn or garlic bread.The first server was happy to accommodate until another server came along and completely berated her in front of our table for 5 minutes.When they finally decided to acknowledge us and continue with taking our dinner orders, the first server advise she could make the change to garlic bread only which I accepted.Just before we ended our meal we were asked if we needed to use the bathroom as it would not be available once cleaned.These interactions were extremely unprofessional and awkward; this left a bad taste/client experience.I have been to Captain's Boil before but will not visit the York Mills location again because of the lack of customer service.

The food was very tasty, the fish and chicken was cooked well. The service was good even though it was busy at the time. The staff was very kind and did a good job. However some of the shrimp intestines was not cleaned and the boiled eggs was over cooked for my liking. Overall it was a good experience thank you!

I really enjoy a great seafood dish! The food here is great & filling drinks were nice, my favourite item on the menu was definitely the lobster bisque! However the service mediocre (yorkmills location) I’d prefer the downtown location when dining in.
