Stopped by for a quick dinner the other day!Sushi was okay. Nothing too spectacular to me. I enjoyed the Love Roll a lot more than the Vancouver Roll. Sashimi didn’t taste fresh but the Tuna was a lot better than the Salmon.The Beef Carpaccio I wasn’t a fan of. There was a paste between the slices of beef which was incrediblyyyyyyyy salty and unpleasant to eat, the garlic chip garnish was a bonus though!The Prawn Tempura was super yummy, probably one of the best I’ve tried in the city, I enjoyed it a lot. Super crispy and airy. I would order this again.

Consistency is key. Staff here really hustle, but when packed it can have a slower feel, but that is what happens when you are full so I expected it. Tuna is good, rolls are generous with a wide variety of creative choices. Staff were friendly and on top of water, tea refills, clearing empty dishes, letting us know what was on the serving platters, and what was still to come.

It was ok, though I didn't enjoy the Calamari - sliced too thin, tasted more the breading and not the squid... I liked the Paradise Sushi and Takoyaki. Also, please clean up your front counter area...it's cluttered and those street shoes displayed in full view of the customers is not appetizing at all. I still gave it a 4 star visit because the servers friendly and attentive.

Best sushi! King katsu also great!! It's crispy and delicious:) Tempura udong is my son’s best menu! People is all nice! Price is also great! Of course visit again!

Ordered the deluxe sashimi and chicken katsu. The deluxe sashimi was just standard and doesn't include the more premium fishes like Hamachi. The chicken katsu was nicely breaded and crispy (flavorwise okay). The sushi restaurant is just okay with average prices.

Server was really nice. Had a meal with another person that barely eats.It was just so much more expensive. Really saw that 3 piece each of tuna and salmon sashimi was $19.Other then that really enjoyed the food.

I always order pick up here. I feel like there's not much good sushi places in NW, and I think this place is one of the few good ones available. If you're ordering delivery or pick up, I strongly recommend to order early. Last few times wait time was an hour, that's the only down side. Food is worth waiting though! Staff are always so friendly as well. Ordered agedashi tofu and king Katsu. So good.

I have come to sushi ai a couple of times and I love the experience each time. It is a smaller restaurant however it is amazingly cozy, the food is so fresh, service is amazing, and you get your order in a timely matter. I absolutely love their fresh sushi, I am not the biggest fan of fried sushi so when I tried it I did not love it, but that is just a personal taste. However if you love sashimi please come here, a m a z i n g! So delicious, cut beautifully, and the chef does not hold back on the presentation of their sushi.However despite the name of the restaurant, the best udon I’ve had in Calgary is from sushi ai, and the calamari to die for. 10/10
