My family and I wanted to build a 500sq’ deck this spring. I was unsure about what the best option for foundation was, because the ground is so poor in Winnipeg and the surrounding areas. (clay and silt).Ashley helped me through the process of determining what the deck would be used for and what size of piles would be best suited for the job. We plan on having a roof over part of the deck and a 6000lbs hot tub in one corner.Screw piles are definitely the way to go, especially with the type of soil we have in River Heights.Ashley and his crew showed up early and got the foundation installed in under a days work (12 piles). A building is only as good as its foundation and I’m confident that with the foundation we chose, this deck will serve us for many years to come.
