A very sad place to visit. I don't think that they are looked after very well.

DO NOT WORK HERE! Sumit Dua is the Environmental Services Manager at this location. Very unprofessional & rude manager for dietary aid. I was hired and worked for 2 weeks and I was mistreated and verbally abused by a few dietary aids.I have 11 years of experience as a dietary aid and have worked at many amazing long term care centres. So I know my rights and I’m not new as a dietary aid.So I spoke to Sumit Dua as he the manager unfortunately and all he said mistreatment does not happen here. Instead he blamed that I am new and that people here have been working for many years. Basically to accept the mistreatment.Instead of saying, I will solve this situation he said I have 4 departments to run and I don’t have time for these stuff. So if he doesn’t have time for these “stuff” then why is he allowed to be running 4 departments?! So I asked for the HR number/email and he said the HR number is confidential & a private number that he can’t share with me and hung up the phone on me. When he told me that, it just shows how bad of a manager he is. I feel bad for all the workers that work here and the residents that live here. When the manager is bad be careful! He does not care for you as a worker and for people that live here!

Our mother's has resided here since Fall 2019 and was her first experience living outside her own home. She has come to like the facility very much including the great food and attentive care provided by the staff.

Grandmother lived here for 15 years and we wanted to donate her old walker, they said they’d call back and they didn’t. The front desk girl said it was because she was so busy. Their word means nothing to them clearly. Disappointing.

I have been inside dog shelters that were nicer and smelled better than this place! This residence is where people come to die. I know if I had all my faculties and had to live here, I'd be asking for assisted death as soon as possible.

Great care and loving care takers food is good.

It's so sad visiting my grandma at this place - she has a small bladder so right after dinner she has to use the washroom around six o'clock. Then they get her to brush her teeth and put her nightgown on because they are not willing to lift her so she can go and visit, socialize or get out of her room after her leg was amputated due to diabetes. She is 100% mentally there, and from after dinner (around 6:00) she is forced to lay in bed until they come and bring her the sleeping medication and painkillers at nine o'clock. This is 3 hours laying in bed doing nothing and she has bed sores from all her laying down. The only thing she has to do is read the paper because she can't have a television for these three hours. I walked in on her crying last night around eight - how sad, I was devastated. I realize that the staff there do not make very much, but these people were someone's children at some point. They raised children and grandchildren. They made so many sacrifices in their lives for the ones they loved and now they are treated like this? I will definitely be contacting the manager, as well as the NDP to ensure better care for our seniors. So heartbreaking.

Mother has been there 7 years. The facility is not new or fancy but the CARE is excellent.

The workers do not at all reflect the standard of care students are taught to provide in nursing school. This facility is full of neglect and people coming simply for the work and not actually ready to provide compassionate care to elderly patients. Sometimes it is forgotten that the elderly are HUMANS too.
