They showed great attention to detail, initiative and were very thorough and ultimately professional in every aspect of their work.In short, they were a delight to have here. As a general contractor, my experience with the Hemlock Painting team on a recent commercial project was excellent from start to finish. They provided an estimate, coordinated details quickly, and were on site to start as scheduled. All of the on-site personnel were polite, respectful to the other trades and the customer, and great to work with & around. They took good care in preparation and left no cleanup when they were finished. The finished product looks excellent. Myself and more importantly, the customer, couldn’t be happier. After searching and contacting numerous painting companies I narrowed it down to a few. I really wanted Benjamin Moore paint (and some others only used Dulux or Sherwin Williams). I saw Hemlock painting was located in Vancouver and I wasn’t sure if they would come for my smaller job in the tricities but they did and the service was amazing. I have not experienced such a professional workflow in any other businesses I contacted. Although initially I was a bit unimpressed with the administrative assistant, once Paul was in touch and I showed him photos and floor plans of my unit he quickly gave me a quote. I was a bit hesitant given the current workforce if the workers would be experienced, but the team that painted my home was amazing. Elliot took over all communication to oversee the job. All necessary areas were covered to not have drips, carefully wrapped floors and cabinets and thorough clean up after. I popped by to check in as my job was only about a day and staff were friendly. I later learned I may have been underquoted (as I thought the price was very in line with others) but appreciated that the owner honoured the quoted rate as it was an internal error on the business end. I am so impressed with the quality and professionalism of how jobs were set up and completed that I would hire Hemlock again even if at a higher price point. Have recommended to friends since. Certainly not cheap but if you are willing to pay for the quality and service, definitely worth hiring. My initial fears were certainly put to rest with a great outcome and their help with colour choice went a long way once I had narrowed them down. Love waking up to the beautiful soft colours selected.

There are many painting companies to choose from in Vancouver but a recommendation from a friend who had recently had their place painted by Hemlock and were very happy with the results was all we needed to proceed. Hemlock Painting is a very professional company and the work they did to paint all our walls, ceilings and floorboards was outstanding. Could not recommend them highly enough!

From beginning to end Hemlock was a dream to work with. They were quick to get back to me about an estimate and very flexible with the timing of the installation. They were able to move the timeframe up when our wallpaper arrived early. Joel arrived on time with all his supplies ready to go. He worked efficiently and professionally. Some of the paint scratched when he was cutting out around the window frame but asked for paint so he could touch it up (I wouldn’t have even noticed it scratched). We had two walls done in two rooms and we are very happy with the results. Highly recommend working with them. Will definitely worked with them in future on our next interior job.

Of all the painters I have hired Hemlock Interior Painting is the best.Communicating with the company and scheduling a quote was easy. I received concise and comprehensive information on how to prepare for the work.The team was polite, professional and highly skilled. The job was completed on time and my home was tidy at the end of the project.2023A third home improvement project completed with Hemlock Painting.Having the painters working in my home was a pleasure. They were prompt, knowledgeable, skilled and courteous.The results are excellent.Definitely recommend this company.

We used Hemlock back in May to paint the interior 3rd floor walls of our newly purchased townhouse (without furniture). We only hired them for the walls, not the trim or ceilings.Hemlock responded quickly to my request for a quote, and Paul came the next day. I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Because of this, I decided to go ahead with Hemlock, making the wrong assumption that people like Paul would be the ones painting my townhouse.The crew that came were nice and professional when I met them on the first day. Overall, they did a good job until I took a closer look. When they were cleaning up on the second day of the paint job, I noticed that there were several issues with their paint job, listed below:1) The wall paint closest to the ceiling wasn't done in a straight line. They told me this was because of the previous painters and that it was made more obvious because they tried to cover it. They also said that they normally paint the trim, ceilings and walls altogether and if I wanted to to look cleaner, I should've hired them to do everything at once. They agreed to help me fix this by caulking the contact between the ceiling and the wall, which I appreciated since it really bothered me. They did a good job of fixing this.2) Some of the paint on my trim was ripped off from the painter's tape they used. The crew member told me that it would take a few hours for him to fix it, so instead I should let Elliott know and he'll send someone to fix it for me. He also told me that I shouldn't have painted the trim a few days before they came (I told Elliott about how I painted the trim and he said it would be fine.) I found this to be quite lazy of the crew member but I didn't want to push him further. The crew ended up finishing their job around 1pm on the second day.3) There were several marks on multiple areas of my trim where it looked like an object hit it (I'm assuming a ladder or something hard, since it dented my trim board). I only noticed this after they had already left.4) There was some paint left on the floor, in the kitchen sink where they were cleaning off the paint supplies, on the trim, and I think they were in a rush so they ended up leaving some of their supplies around the house (gloves, caulk, etc.).I did tell Elliott about these issues and he offered me a small discount to say sorry or to send someone to fix these problems (I took the discount given my experience with them).
