Phenomenal dinner! The welcome cocktail and oyster signaled the beginning of many amazing dishes to come. Atmosphere and experience was one of a kind, the chefs/staff were knowledgeable and conversational, food was exquisite, wonderful sake as well. Couldn't say enough good things, will definitely return.

The food was exceptionally delicious. We opted for the caviar and truffle option for 140$ more but the quantity was so little. Sadly, the service was subpar. Our reservation was at 21h30, but they texted us to come at 21h. We were seated at 21h55 on a Wednesday. The last piece of sushi came at 23h50. They offered more sushi pieces at extra cost to the other clients at that time and told us we had to wait for other clients to be served before have the dessert and leave. In the end, they gave us the dessert and we paid. When we left, there was no one at the coat check. Great food, but will not go again. In my opinion, an omakase experience should be an all inclusive price instead of trying to make clients pay more for extras.

Wow. I can’t wait to come back. Incredible unique experience, sushi you simply do not find in Montreal, and fantastic service. Blown away.

Food is really good, cant take that away and waiters are really friendly.Unfortunately, the overall experience was a big let down. They offer you the typical omakase (all nigiris) and then they try to upsale all their extras. First they offer a caviar and black truffle pairing which is simply a little portion of caviar and truffle grated over some nigiris and at the end services they try to sale extra courses that are the chef favorite fishes. The whole experience was 3 hours and we had to push the staff to be able to leave early" as others were still having their extra courses. They tell you to come 30 min early but then leave you 50 min at the bar. Not sure if it's on purpose to sell more drinks or something happened

The experience was nice but not worth the hype. Good sushi and good drinks. I'm removing one star because I did not appreciate the fact that they tried to upsell us to adding some caviar and truffles to a few of the pieces of sushi at an additional cost of $140 per person. We refused, so they made different versions of the sushi for us and to the people at the table, who did buy the upgrade. In a normal restaurant setting, that would not be a problem, but since we all sat at the same table, it felt very like we were singled out, felt awkward. I did not appreciate spending $1000+ on a dinner for two and still being made feel poor..

as expected, exceptional experience & service from start to finish. extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. sushi quality & selection is like no other I’ve experienced in montreal.(recommend bee’s Japanese cocktail)thank you for a lovely evening.

Overpriced pale imitation of a real omakase.Welcome cocktail and bites are a plus, and then it goes downhill. Almost all nigiri. Nothing mind blowing. And at that price point, I’m expecting something special beyond a chic atmosphere. Service is good enough. A couple of hiccups, but nothing major.There is no “chef”, they’re just trained in a way of serving to provide a cookie cutter experience at any location.The evening is punctuated by loud announcements by a kind of sommelier on the provenance and tasting notes of whatever you’ve selected (in our case the sake tasting). Another option is whiskey tasting, which seems an odd pairing choice for an omakase, but certainly allows them to upcharge a boatload more.You will likely still be hungry at the end, which will induce you to order 2/3 extra bites (i.e you must choose 2 of 3). They also try to upcharge you at the start by asking if you want to add truffle or roe to everything, which thankfully we did not do, because I can’t imagine anything more idiotic than adding the strong taste of truffle to every bite of nigiri, which will drown out the subtle flavour of the fish. Like what’s the point?Places like this will ultimately give Omakase a bad name for those who haven’t had an opportunity to experience the real thing elsewhere.At the end, you’re presented with a final amount on an iPad, held by someone at the door, which makes it difficult to review your itemized bill. With the extra bites, and one flight of sake tasting and a couple of mocktails, came out to over $1k for 2 ppl. Totally obscene for what we got/experienced in return.

Incredible food and experience all around! Best Omakase I’ve ever had, paired with an intimate experience, incredible staff, and lovely pairings! Highly recommend!

Food good but underwhelming at this price point. Service issues that should DEFINITELY not be occurring at said price point:- if you ask for wine, you better like what they serve because they don’t offer a taste before pouring your glass- staff constantly in and out the weird awkward door with arms full of dishes/random stuff which should be passing thru a service corridor- the welcome cocktail offered with the reservation is only for the welcome part. Ask for a cocktail when seated and it will be on your bill. Very ungracious.Also this meal comes with an ostentatious carbon footprint. Eg the sushi rice is cooked with bottled water from Tuscany, and the same water is used in all their restaurants. So that the rice tastes the same around the world….
