Merrimutt Pet Resort

Quality of pet care has gone downhill fast here. Heard a lot of good things when they first opened up. Things have changed.Lots of staff turnover and seemingly understaffed for such a busy place. Picked up my dog from an overnight visit about a month ago and she was covered in dried pee. She smelled terrible. I guess she must have just been left sitting in pee in her dirty room for 3 days? It wasn't a little pee....her whole back and belly were covered in dried caked on urine. No answers as to how she did (Since this was her first time boarding) but has been there for daycare before. A She was fine" when I picked her up from a very young woman who I hope isn't watching all those dogs there....and I doubt she was there at all. Just gives the standard response? No detailed receipt given as to what I was charged for....only given the transaction receipt from my debit card. I'd like to know what I was charged for exactly. Run

Had a trial day before boarding on our next trip. Very impressive set up for dogs! Super clean inside and out! Staff was attentive and knowledgeable!

Our dog loves coming here. A great way to burn off extra energy.

Amazing place, amazing people! They truly care about you, your pet, and your goals. I would give them 10 stars but Google only lets me give them 5. We will be back for further training and boarding. Cannot recommend them enough!

I definitely trust Merrimutt and the ladies there with my reactive dog! It was her 1st time being boarded ever and she was fine. The booking was seamless, I will use them in the future. Book ahead, as Merrimutt is not a best kept secret any longer!

Not one to post reviews or even a bad one. But had to share my experience. It started with taking over 1.5 months to book our trial date and multiple emails.The morning of Big Ben , my retriever greeted the worker with his hugs, he was then aggressively kneed in the chest . Typically at home we say off or walk back. This didn't sit well , but some use this as a means of off. At pick up we found out both dogs failed, they were deemed nervous, anxious and didn't want to play with the other dogs. I left sad but got over it. The part that makes me mad is that now my dogs have kennel cough and a huge vet bill. After calling Merrimutt to explain this politely I was told they have had 3 other dogs also with recent kennel cough. I'm upset money wasted on a trial and now a vet bill. I thought all dogs were screened ?? Maybe someone coming to our house is a better choice for us.
