Very inconsistent at-the-end pricing despite the price of each item is clear on the menu. It is highly suggested to check with the owner about the details of each additional charge.I bough an $9.90 item (didn't ask for the free" drink with additional $0.25 for the cup) to-go and got charged $11.30. I used DoorDash to place an order at the same place and the tax is 5%. Base on the same tax rate

The meat tasted freezer burnt, portion was considerably smaller than other locations, the drink was very watered down and the worst part is that the paper straw won’t pierce the plastic. I went back and asked If I could get another straw as is was bent with a rip from trying to puncture the plastic cover, and the staff pulls out a random pair of scissors offering to puncture the cover. I don’t want some random pair of scissors stuck into my drink.

The curry chicken on rice and Hainanese chicken on rice with iced milk tea so good for a quick bite if your in the area of hornby street.

The owners are very kind and patient. We wondered in here because we were tired from walking. They have a nice dinning area with power outlets and washroom. I know the other reviews don’t recommend the fish but I think the drinks are excellent, very refreshing and not too sweet (way better than spending $7 for a coffee)!

Got Hainese Chicken Rice and a Bubble Waffle. Super friendly staff but what got served doesn’t match other locations. No ginger sauce? No cucumber?Rice was good, and the chicken was good but the amount and other aspects were distinctly missing.

BEST Hainanese chicken & rice we’ve had BY FAR. Chicken was juicy and had a great depth of flavor. Even the rice was amazing because of the umami flavor given to it by the chicken broth it’s cooked in.Duck breast noodles were also superb. Duck was tender and had a great smokey flavor and the noodles had a perfect chew.Owners were extremely kind too.The food was so good we came again during our short half-a-week trip here. Highly recommend supporting this exceptional, yet reasonably priced, small business.

Ugh not worth it. So many different restaurants that are far better.Bubble waffles are good at least but that's the only thing worth it.

This place does it right! This is really delicious BBQ pork, I will definitely be back for lunch. This meal including tax and drink was $14.50. Good value, especially in downtown Vancouver. I got a HK milk tea as well and it was delicious, traditional with evaporated milk.

Bubble Waffle Cafe
One of the best places for soup in the lower mainland. There’s not a lot of places to try Szechwan soup but this is really good. Also try the laksa soup it’s less spicy and has a more creamy flavour from the coconut milk. Also go for the egg noodle over the rice noodle. Great place to go on a cold day. The milk tea is a must have alongside the spicy soup. Staff are very friendly.
