Nicky is amazing!! She is kind, gentle, patient, and has a great sense of humour so it makes training really fun! My partner and I have a rescue dog who initially was quite reactive towards other dogs and people, but since we’ve started doing parallel walks (we’ve only been at it for 3 months), our dog’s reactivity has improved significantly! Working with Nicky has been a game changer and I can’t recommend her training services enough! I would give her 10 stars on this review if I could! Thanks Nicky!!

Nicky and Izzy have been essential to helping my dog with his leash reactivity. They are invested in creating positive experiences and sharing tips and techniques that have changed the dynamic of my walks with my dog. It’s no longer a stressful experience, he is more relaxed and so am I! They are wonderful!

Nicky Wilke has built a fantastic team and program with her dog walking and training company, Wilke Walks & Training. From our first contact with her through email, to the first time we introduced her to our Formosan rescue dogs, Luna and Poppy, and now as we are well into twice-weekly training sessions and walks with Nicky and Kam, we have been so impressed with their level of professionalism, experience, knowledge, empathy, and understanding.We have seen incredible growth in both our dogs and our own understanding of what they need to succeed. Poppy has become much more responsive with our at-home training when it comes to barking at the door, as well as giving us check-ins more often, and her love for urban agility has soared. Luna, who is reactive with strange dogs and our cat, has become much better on-leash in public with other dogs and has become much more able to disengage with our cat at home on her own. It's great to see how many areas of our dogs' lives are positively affected by the training Wilke Walks & Training provides.On top of seeing our dogs thrive, it's great to see them having lots of fun. Wilke Walks & Training provides a service that feels custom fit for you and your dogs and a level of communication that is beyond anything we've experienced before. We know our dogs love to walk and train with Nicky and Kam because of how excited they get when they come to pick them up but also from the daily updates, photos, and videos we receive where we get to see how training is going and how much fun our dogs are having. Nicky and her team are amazing! They have helped so much with our dogs on-leash reactivity and have therefore made our own walks much more enjoyable and less stressful. Our pup Ryder loves them so much, he literally loses his mind with happiness when they show up. So thankful to have found such fabulous and caring people who understand reactivity.

After a year of exploring different training methods to approach our rescue dog, Ziggy’s, reactivity we were referred to Nicky at Wilke Walks. It was SUCH a positive experience for us and more importantly, Ziggy! We participated in three 60-min parallel walking sessions and it was the first time we could see progress in action with Ziggy’s training. We were taught a number of different training tips during the sessions that have given us the confidence to approach Ziggy’s daily walks with less fear and more excitement, and it has allowed us to better understand and acknowledge Ziggy’s body language in order to give him what he needs and potentially avoid reactivity with other dogs. As it goes with all trainings, it is truly for the dog parents to learn how to manage their expectations and have the tools to succeed in daily life with their dog. We have really loved this experience and have noticed small positive changes in the last couple of months with Ziggy. We feel like we will be a part of the Wilke Walks community for a long time to come!Thank you Nicky, Charlie, and team :)

Nicky and team are amazing! I highly recommend Wilke Walks!Our dog Kyna is extremely anxious and has a hard time with other dogs/ new situations. Nicky has patiently worked with her and she now is able to enjoy walks (and is just so excited when Nicky comes to pick her up to go out!).Dogs like Kyna are challenging but I know she is in the best of hands with you and I wouldn't trust her with anyone else.We are very grateful for you and your partnership.Lindsey

Hands down the most productive and engaging training I’ve done with my dog. We learned so many great tools in the private parallel walks that we immediately put into use and I am so much more confident in my ability to control her on walks. Millie loved the classes and loved Nicky - can’t wait to do more!

Wilke Walks is an exceptional dog walker and reactive dog coach. Her and her team are patient, and go above and beyond when it comes to accommodating your dogs evolving needs.Our dog, Dino, first started with parallel walks that offered a great opportunity for proactive coaching of us and Dino. He then graduated into going on walks with Nicky, where she patiently worked with him to go alone with her, introduced him to her car, and has gradually expanded his circle of comfort when leaving home without us.The daily walk pictures and summaries of walks are excellent in keeping us engaged with what is happening, and also help queue us to work on specific behaviours with Dino.Overall I would absolutely recommend Nicky and her team to anyone with a reactive or anxious dog.

I have known Nicky for many years now. I joined her Parallel Paws Walking Club to support Hank (my dog) with his fear based reactivity. Hank and Charlie, Nicky's dog, our now very good fur friends. Nicky is educated, experienced and one of the best in the field. She uses science and reward based training methods that will help your dog succeed. Her work also helps you to have a deeper connection with your dog. Her passion for helping dogs and their leaders through Wilke Walks is inspiring.
