We found this place, while wandering around downtown area aimlessly. food was very tasty and the portions sizes are also good. The staff is very friendly and the service is also good. Not much seating space but overall a very good place to chill out on a sunny day.

Loved the food, great place to bring our young kids. We saw a couple otters on the ramp on our way in and out. Service was OK but thinking back, maybe under staffed. Atmosphere was good, next time we will probably request to sit on the flight deck with patio.

We came her for some sea food. It was reasonable priced, the dishes are 16 to 30 a dish so within the norms. The people are good and friendly. It's backwards tho. You order and pay first then sit down. They bring you the food. This restaurant is on the water. Literally a floating dock. When you look out the window you are in Victoria's harbour. Just down the raid from the empress hotel and the Legislature's buildings. You can see in the pic the otter sea plane. I was forgetful and forgot to take pictures of the food. The fish and chips are good. The bacon shrimp are pricey but done well, very tasty. The calamari was mostly the longer flat type and not the normal rings you get. Salt and pepper style. Was tasty. The drinks are good and decently priced. The six of us spent close to 200.00 with tips & with our drinks , so it wasn't outrageous.

Not sure why I don't come to this restaurant more often; I enjoyed the ambiance, location, food, and menu items. It's a reasonable place to take someone for a date- however not too intimate, pretty casual for a setting.Date dinner with the Hubby almost a month ago (haven't reviewed), didn't know it was two for one appetizer Saturdays. OF COURSE we ordered the two-for-one! Why not? It's there, if it wasn't something we enjoyed, we didn't have to order it or come back, so there was nothing to lose.Had no regrets on the selection; ordered the wings with Apple BBQ flavour, and the calamari. Be warned, the calamari does have some spicy kick to it- and I like spicy. Still delicious. Wings were crispy, even with the sauce- just a personal preference.For the entrees my husband ordered the Halibut burger - but somehow ended up with the two-piece halibut fish and chips- he went with it, and didn't have any regrets. The batter wasn't overly thick, and the fish was thankfully not dry. My own order was spicy prawn tacos, and they were lovely. nice, light, refreshing. It comes with a side, but thankfully I chose this, because the appetizers were filling enough. The fries were nothing remarkable, but I did enjoy them.We arrived around 5:30pm, to which dinner was just getting started- the tables were about 90% full, and our food still arrived at a reasonable time" (we were in and out in an hour

We sat in the patio and had a pilsener and an apple cider while we waited for our Caesar salad and halibut fish and chips. The food was great. some of the best fish and chips I'd had. I'd recommend a bit more dressing on the salad but the fried capers that it came with were a nice touch. Our server was attentive but not over bearing. Would go again.

A cute view of the harbour sitting at a high-top table. The chowder was very good. I had the salmon tacos with a salad on the side. If you're doing this, try a different side than salad. I don't recommend. The side salad on its own was fantastic but was basically the same ingredients in the salmon taco. There was no variation in my lunch. The salmon was a very small piece on a huge bed of salad. Couldn't really taste anything but salad. My partner had the fish and chips. The fries/chips were great and the fish was battered lightly and was fresh. He had no tartar sauce given though. Isn't that a fish and chips staple? I left hungry and unsatisfied with the salmon taco. I have to go back to try again.

Nice harbour side restaurant. It was very busy, so booking is recommended. We were lucky. Does some great fish and chips, you could have halibut or cod. Both were good,the codea little cheaper.

Amazing meal and the service was exceptional. We had fish and chips & the seafood pasta. So delicious. Our server was excellent as well. Look forward to coming back.

Found this place while wandering aimlessly around Victoria. We loved the name and decided to give it a try. It was a little busy, but the hostess gave us the option to sit at the bar. I'm so glad we did. The Otter has an excellent drink selection, including local brews. We split an order of poutine (IYKYK) that was absolutely fantastic! We loved watching the activity on the docks as we ate, including one seagull that liked to look in the windows to see what people were eating.The staff were amazing and friendly from the jump. They also worked incredibly well together, anticipating what others needed, which increased the level of customer care and service. They elevated the experience tenfold.

We found the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch break. The poutine and drinks were great, the staff was super friendly and the view to the little sea planes was fantastic.
