Spent 6 hours in ER waiting room sitting on a hard plastic chair with a broken wrist. Gruesome. Severely under-staffed for population base. Very poor traffic flow. ER needs an overhaul with productivity in mind. Wasted time by staff everywhere I looked.

Blood on the walls, vomit on the floors, long wait times with little prioritization on more in need patients.Doctors and nurses are great but who knows if you’ll make it in to see them…

Huge thanks to the nurses and doctors that helped my sister tonight with her first gallbladder attack, everyone was extremely nice and caring. She was in insane amount of pain and it came out of nowhere. Special thanks to nurse Olivia that made sure we were taken it right away and she made my sister comfortable and calm quickly with some pain meds and kind words. Huge thanks once again, it's sincerely appreciated!

Here with baby. Ghost town and 1 doctor no where to be seen. 4 hours later. This is what we pay taxes for? For 1 doctor.

Grossly under staffed super long waits . I was choking on cigarette smoke as I walked in the door . The recorded phone message says welcome to your smoke free hospital. What a joke !

I'm getting very unhappy with the unresults I'm getting with the hospital! I understand being under staffed! But when someone is trying & trying to get through to find out about either a loved one or parent! It'd be great if there was either answering machine or after it rings so much! It transferred back to the operator

Went in yesterday with my sick 2 year old, and everyone was so helpful, from the triage women to the nurse and doctor. It felt great to have people take care of my boy with gentlenss and respect. Thank you nurse Allister, and Doctor Sky!

Was told 23 Jan I was booked for an MRI.8:15pm of 22 Feb. Drove through snowstorm from Parksville having rearranged travel to the Mainland. Was told there was no record of an appointment. SHAMEFUL.

The only reason for this review is the absolutely disrespectful and rude nurse with medium length light red hair at the front of the ER admissions desk (every other nurse has been lovely). My girlfriend came in with extreme pain almost fainting and she said that there wasn't anything wrong with her and that she was specifically going to put her at the bottom of the list. This nurse clearly needs a reality check and training on how to properly deal with patients that should have higher priority. Don't expect to come here and get help right away if your dying.

Absolute joke. I had dropped off my sister tonight after previously visiting earlier today regarding her appendix and likely, possible appendicitis. Apon entering, without being asked of her reason of arrival by the door greeter, she was told to sit in the first waiting room. I was in previously, during Covid and before the mass roll outs of vaccines and was asked of my reason of entering. I had then called the sullen, selfish and impatient receptionist who had immediately cut me off before my question was even close to being finished. I expressed my concern and explaied my sisters issue, the reason of her arrival while questioning why she wasn't asked of her issues apon entering. I was then told they no longer question of any issues regarding anything else other than Covid. That being arguably untrue with what I had previously explained. Now regarding the primary issue and reason of arrival; I was told that they had walked past and that if she was in a critical condition she would be on the ground in pain. I would certainly believe that the reason of visiting emergency would be to avoid passing out due to pain?! That is an extremely disheartening and honestly, in my opinion, unprofessional thing to say. She is now being told, while being in extreme pain, that she is not allowed to be in a room with a bed to lie in because it's too busy for that" as she was told. I don't quite understand how this can remain a regional hospital
