Really horrible experience here. I bought a groupon for this place which required me to make a reservation. I called at 4:30 pm(which is when they should be open) and made a reservation for 7:00 pm. we showed up and the door was locked. I could see one of the cooks preparing sushi on the counter. I knocked and was ignored. It was obvious that they were closed, but I wanted to talk to someone. I continued knocking and another cook came out of the back area, looked at us and then ignored us. So i continued knocking until a middle aged woman came out from the back. They talked amongst themselves and one of the cooks made a motion with his hand i guess trying to tell me that it's closed.So i motioned for them to come and talk and the woman, who i'm assuming is the manager came to the door and talked through the glass, we're closed." She didn't even open the door to talk. I said they could have called me to tell me in advance. I made the reservation 2 hours before. "We ran out of rice." Lies! i could see them preparing the sushi. I didn't want to eat there after that anyways but it was the rudest most callous experience i've ever encountered at a restaurant. And she just walked away. No resolution

I get take out for lunch here all the time. Great lunch specials. Very good sushi. It's family owned and operated and they are all great.

Kimono Japanese Grill Sushi
Had lunch all you can eat. The sushi was not well made, fell apart easily and overall the rolls and the sushi had way to much rice. The fried items appeared quite dark, made me worry how fresh and clean the oil in the deep fryer is. There were two servers, both were fast and quick but would not consider them to be friendly.

Shame that the Groupon offer had expired for this location.I believe they do not offer AYCE anymore either. Not positive on that though.The sushi was quite good, no complaints there. Our glasses smelled and tasted fishy which was rather disgusting.Staff are nice but English is quite limited so be patient!

THEY DO NOT OFFER ALL YOU CAN EAT ANYMOREIt was actually really goood. You have to ask for the all you can eat menu (ayce) or they might just five u the regular menu. This place was completly dead tho I went on a Tuesday at 7 30 pm. And that's prime dinner time it should have been busy. The whole time I ate there we were also the only ones.BUT the sushi was really good they variety as well. It's $19.99 on weekday and $21.99 weeknights for dinner.And as always they bring the sashimi last. I don't know why all sushi places do that. Like I'm not gonna forget about my sashimi.

These positive reviews can’t be real. Bought a groupon, showed up and the mean hostess rudely told me “ you must have reservation” (the place was dead) then she says “ no longer have all you can eat”. My wife went to use the washroom and said it was nasty. I cancelled the groupon and went to another place down the street!

Worst customer service ever, they dont care about the customers they just want to get every single penny they can. They are not welcoming whatsoever and expects you to pay for every little thing including soya sauce. Its not even for a reasonable price. The sushi rolls are sloppy and not worth the money. When asking for a refund they refused and did not offer to compensate for my meal. Do not dine here.

We love this sushi restaurant. We live south of them near St Clair and so there are probably 20 other options within ten minutes of us. We have tried a bunch of them and just love this place. The girl on the phone is a bit robotic but its actually very useful because she is extremely efficient with taking your order and they know your address based on your phone number. The sushi comes in large portions, is very reasonably priced and because they do a good business, always very fresh and consistent. I usually get spicy tuna, california roll, shrimp tempura, yam avocado roll and veggie tempura appetizer.

Food arrived cold! Called the restaurant and they explained that it was somehow our fault. Can't figure that one out. The restaurant refused to take ownership of the problem. Will never order from them again. Highly recommend that anyone int the Avenue Rd. Eglinton area looking for Japanese food order from one of the many other Japanese restaurants in the neighbourhood. Very, very disappointing experience overall.
