Beautiful, convenient location, loved the Victorian ambience. Rooms were clean and comfortable - could use updating. Breakfast buffet was great. High tea was fun - service was slow to start but improved. We’ll be back!

The super comfy beds deserve 10 stars! But otherwise not so impressed by this hotel. The breakfast was okay but nothing more, too many sweet options and very few savoury ones for my liking. I normally love scrambled eggs served at hotel breakfasts, but here they did not look appetising at all, so I didn't dare try.

The hotel is in a great location. You can walk the downtown area and many places. The service is wonderful. Everyone is nice and friendly. The food at the breakfast buffet has a variety of options, and the quality is great. The place is clean and cozy. The beds are comfortable. It's also quiet so you can relax and have a downtime and get a good night's sleep. The room and furniture just need some updating. It's outdated, but other than that, we had a wonderful stay and experience.

Very basic outdated hotel. Pictures promise much more than reality. Limited facilities (no bar no restaurant: you can only sleep and have a breakfast). Location in Victoria is very convenient.

Worst experience ever. Its not 4 stars standard - should be 2 stars instead.Their ventilation in toilet was super loud , not to mention the noises close to the walking street. When we talked to the reception, they promised to change another room for free. But after we repacked everything and headed out to them, they suddenly asked for money for a upgrade. Very unsatisfactory experience ever. The attitude from a chinese receptionist is really bad.Photos from their website also look much better in reality. There are much better hotels with cheaper price in surrounding - avoid them !!

My family and I were very excited to come to Victoria for a little getaway- we had researched hotels carefully and concluded that the Huntington would be perfect as it would be downtown, reasonably priced , breakfast included and it “looked nice” in the photos.Sadly we were quite disappointed upon arrival! The hotel is certainly not nice at all- it’s old and dated! Upon arrival, we packed the luggage Carrier ready to roll our luggage in our room. However, when we talked to the receptionist we found out that our room was on the first floor and there was no elevator access- so we had to carry a stroller and all our luggage using stairs to our room- VERY INCONVENIENT and no one told us when I booked the room on the phone! The room was dark, the kitchen was dated and did not have trays or oven gloves to use the oven. The quality of the breakfast was also not great- green bananas on the first day , bread, croissant and waffles did not taste great! The best part was the yoghurt! I was excited to enjoy a comfortable vacation but was deeply disappointed! Would not recommend this place!

We had flooding at our home and stayed in the family suite for a week until we could organize something more permanent. It's a unique and beautiful hotel (anyone wanting to avoid a cookie cutter hotel chain will love it) but what really struck us was how wonderful the staff were. We have nothing but praise for the people who work here!! There were extras we appreciated too -- a great breakfast buffet in a beautiful dining hall, overseen by really lovely and attentive staff; coin laundry; a water cooler to refill water bottles in the hallway; and secure underground parking. Great location and very clean rooms with white duvet covers and sheets. Highly recommend.

This hotel is a good place to stay. Close to the Clipper dock and is just a few minutes walking to the downtown area. The hotel building and grounds are well kept. Our room was clean and well maintained. No visible wear and tear. The breakfast buffet dining room is only accessible by stairs, there might have been another way in, but it was not obvious to me. The food was well stocked with a variety of fruits, cereal, breads, eggs, meat, potatoes and yogurt. The staff are friendly and helpful.Just one cautionary item: if you need to exchange US dollars, they will not give you the going exchange rate. This is the first time I ever encountered that scenario in BC.We recommend this as a place to stay.

The staff is extremely friendly, hospitable and professional from their front-end to back-end employees. Our complimentary breakfast was delicious, offering a wide range of items. It can get busy during peak breakfast hours, but the staff is always accommodating in helping find a table for you right away. They also do an exceptional job keeping the buffet-style breakfast stations clean and tidy. The room was very well kept and clean. This is obviously an older building, so noise transfer from room to room is very noticeable. Unfortunately, this was an oversight by the guests above our suite, but the hotel management was quick to offer a solution for us to move into another suite that was much quieter. I appreciated this so much as I am a very light sleeper and really sensitive to noise. The manor is within walking distance to downtown Victoria, Chinatown and many different attractions, so I was able to leave my vehicle in the hotel's secured underground parking and didn't have to deal with Victoria's paid street parking.I'm looking forward to coming back here as it was affordable, clean, and I felt very well looked after by the staff, but will likely request a suite on the top floor to get a more consistent quiet experience.
