Lion's Park
Very large, well maintained park that includes a “small wheels” or skateboard park and two dog parks (one for large dogs and one for small dogs). Has many park benches and picnic tables for seating but, unfortunately, all are located in the blazing hot sun. No seating in the shade. Serious flaw in park design.

Was closed ! I mean looks awesome .. planned for weeks (3 on trip from Edmonton) to get goodies from here and when I pulled up the pulled pork BBQ dude was outta meat !Other wise I'm sure it would have been awesome.

very beautiful park, excellent maintained, nice fenced off leash dog field ... the walk with our Bandit beside the Creek was perfect... very very nice.

Lion's Park
Just visited the new dog park at the North End of Lion's Park for the first time yesterday and am quite impressed. It's a nice large Park, and good to see that there is also a separate area for small dogs. I understand that water will be going into the dog park soon. A few more tables or benches would be nice, especially for those of us who don't like to get run over by enthusiastic, happy dogs. It's a pity that the donated trees and shrubs aren't protected properly with the chicken wire cages. I doubt that they will last very long.

The nicest dog park in the area, even has a separate area for aggressive dogs that don't play nice.More people should use it too, a couple days ago a dog snuck up behind me and bit my calf hard enough to go through jeans and long underwear to break skin. The owners did nothing and tried to justify it by saying it was a puppy or I scared it.This park is quite large and dog owners tend to huddle together instead of supervising their pets.Keep that in mind if you love your dog and want to protect it from aggressive dogs.

Nice place for a stop and walkabout. Has a great dog park. There is even some exercise equipment spread across the park. Apparently there is free WiFi (not tested). Washrooms were ok, one needed some attention so we phone it in, think it would be dealt with in a timely manner. Would have given this park 5 stars if it wasn't for some questionable people in the park.

Beautiful location with plenty of seating options and enough grass for a great picnic. A large grassy off leash dog park. Washrooms are available but could use an update.
