Sussex Clock Centre

I took an old pendulum clock to Steve Boakes at Sussex Clock Centre today. What a lovely man. He gave me a lesson /demonstration in how the pendulum should hang correctly and just like that, had fixed the clock. No charge, just great advice. A big thank you Mr Boakes.

Steve serviced a clock that I was given several years ago and which I had never known to work, so it was an absolute delight to hear it ticking and chiming! Excellent service from Sussex Clock Centre, and we will certainly be taking our clocks in for future servicing, and will recommend to friends and family.

He couldn't fix my grandfather's clock. Paid him £165. Might as well burnt the money. Useless waste of space. Take a wide berth.

Excellent friendly service ! I have been fortunate enough to deal with this business 3 times so far. Each time it has been for advice and they couldn't be more helpful and charming. I am delighted to say that they are going to restore a clock for me next year. I don't believe it could be in better hands (no pun intended!) Since the business opened I have purchased three clocks from Sussex Clocks and I cannot speak too highly of the service I have received. What is even more impressive is that Steve has always found time to answer any queries I have had and I often find myself visiting the shop to see what new clocks are on show.

I couldn't be more thrilled with the excellent job and service received by the Sussex Clock Centre. Having inherited a very old family clock, I didn't hold out much hope for having it repaired, but I hadn't met Steve and Ann at that point! The clock was in a very poor state, but Steve lavished a extraordinary amount of time and skill on it and wouldn't be defeated by all it's challenges. Throughout Ann kept in contact about progress and was always very kind and patient. The clock now looks beautiful and is working perfectly and I am sure will last for at least another couple of generations. Thank you so much to Steve and Ann for all your care and attention.
