Beautiful ambiance at this Thai eatery. Friendly and welcoming service. Usually go to downtown to satisfy Thai food cravings but decided to give this place a shot. Went for a late lunch on a Saturday and found the place was mostly empty. Ordered green curry beef with rice off their lunch special menu. Came with fresh fried spring roll and soup. Buddy ordered red Thai curry beef with rice. Both tasted great. I think the spiciness is toned down given the location. Ask for extra spicy if you like spicy food. Glad to have an authentic Thai restaurant in Newmarket. Will revisit to try their other offerings.

Amazing and authentic Thai food. Easily the best Thai food in Newmarket, by far, and honestly on par with the best Thai to be had anywhere in the city. Generous portions, high quality ingredients, and great taste.

I took a group of 8 people from one of my customers to lunch here. I had made a reservation a few days in advance for 7 people and on the day of the lunch, they called to confirm we would be coming with 7 people. We arrived 30 minutes late and had 8 people but it was not a problem for them. The people working here are very nice and accommodating. The food was good. The group ordered a variety of dishes from the lunch menu and everyone said their food was good. I had the red curry beef and I liked it. I don’t have any complaints about this place. Lunch for 8 people was less than $175. Their pricing is very fair for what they provide.

Delicious! But, less salty is better including the Tom Yum Kao Soup.also, they can be more spicier. Overall, you can’t find something Thai like this on in Aurora and Newmarket area.

My family and I have been coming here since 2005. I was in the 7th grade when I had my first dish from this restaurant. I am now in my 30s and still coming here. Moved from Newmarket to Barrie and still find time to commute down once a week for lunch. Truly amazing food, and they're not afraid to accommodate people who have a preference for spicy dishes! Thanks for the decades of great food!

Came here on a Wednesday evening at about 6:45pm and we were seated right away, with a few other patrons already dining in. The decor is very traditional and feels like we are in Thailand!We ordered a pineapple fried rice and a Chicken Pad Thai and both arrived pretty quickly! The portions were good and the flavour was on point. We really enjoyed our meal there on a cold December week night!Parking is a little challenging though: not too many of them and parking lot is very narrow, facing busy Yonge street. Newer drivers beware!

Orchid Thai never disappoints! The food is delicious and made with love. We had the Bangkok Dinner for Two special. They were very accommodating when we asked if we could substitute the Golden Thai curry for the Emerald Green curry. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and have a craving for Thai food!
