Captain Blackmore's Heritage
We've been here to Captain Blackmore's Heritage Manor, oh, it's got to be eight times (so far). Check out the comments about this wonderful B&B on a travel site such as TripAdvisor; the reviews are consistently full marks. The owners, Shelly and Garry Blackmore, will be a big part of your memories to a most memorable area of this patch of Eden. The breakfasts are delicious and filling, the rooms are impeccable and comfortable, the touring advice from Garry and Shelly (and the other guests!) is interesting and helpful. Finally, the evening get-togethers over tea, coffee and treats with the other guests and Shelly and Garry are fun and informative, where strangers become friends and exchange experiences and plans for the next day.Oh, just do yourself and your blood pressure a favour, and get thee to Port Union and the rest of the Bonavista Peninsula.

Beautiful, impressive accommodations. Awesome breakfast. The snack at night was a delight. Garry and Shelly were fantastic hosts. Would not hesitate to stay there and recommend it to all.

Early in June I will be staying with Hosts Garry & Shelly at Captain Blackmore's Heritage Home. This will be my third visit to Captain Blackmore's B & B. Each visit has been warm and welcoming, with comfortable beds and delicious breakfasts. Their home is well maintained with beautiful vistas. For me, it wouldn't be a complete visit to the Newfoundland with out a trip to the Bonavista Area and at least 1 nights stay at Captain Blackmore's!

Stayed here two nights in mid-June 2019. The hosts were fantastic and accommodating, the rooms were very nice, and the breakfast was fabulous! Would certainly recommend this place :)
