Lexington Smokehouse & Bar on Clarence
Came here to celebrate a birthday and got three happy hour apps (fried brie, jalapeno poppers, wings) and two BBQ platters with fried chicken, brisket, ribs, pulled pork, brussel sprouts, chips, mac and cheese and potato salad. We also got a few rounds of drinks.the apps are a good deal during happy hour which is $8 everyday from 5-7pm. We got a piece of plastic in the fried brie so they comped that dish. The jalapeno poppers came hot and we're pretty good, but the wings were a bit dry and overcooked.Now onto the barbecue. Starting with the good: the brisket was tender and smokey, and the fried chicken was fried well though the crust kept falling off the chicken. Recommended sides are the brussels, potato salad and chips. Onto the needs improvement: mac & cheese wasn't very creamy and had a dried out top, the ribs were really tough and kinda bland, and the pulled pork was dry and stringy.overall, lots of misses and the good stuff was good but not really outstanding. The drinks here are really fun and mixed well. Good service and overall, a good spot if you're there to drink and know what to order.

The food was really good, the kettle chips were delicious. I got the shrimp and grits, the shrimp was delicious but the grits was on the oily side. If you're looking for something satisfying and heavy I would highly recommend it. Overall the food was really great!Just the service wasn't as welcoming unfortunately.

We were in Ottawa for the weekend and looking for somewhere great to eat. How lucky we were to stumble into Lexington Smokehouse.Food and service were amazing 11/10. Will definitely be back for the king of Caesars!

So I must say this is a half and half review. First knowing the timing of ordering and delivery, they messed up. I watch other patrens come in later and get their food quicker. I think our waitress forgot to press go. As for the food some of it was really good. Blackened shrimp was amazing. Corn bread amazing. Mac and Cheese way to thick (personal preference). Beans over cooked. Brisket and ribs not cooked enough. Both very dry. You can tell for a smoke house the did not leave it long enough for the fatty break down time. I will return to retry to be able to make a complete review

Was recommended to go here for a date night with my wife. We ordered the fried chicken (which we should have shared it was so big) as well as Brussel sprouts and brie appetizers because it was happy hour. The Brussel sprouts were insanely good and I don't normally like them. The fried chicken and sides were also super good. I would highly recommend.

10/10 !!!!!Came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and specifically came to this location because they had such a good happy hour menu and it did not disappoint!! I wished I got the bartenders name because he was amazing. Super friendly, personable and top notch service. We had the baked Brie, fried pickles, brisket sandwich and knife and fork chicken. Everything was so good I stuffed myself so full so I didn’t waste anything lol I already told all my friends at work how good it was and we’re going back in a few days and I CANNOT wait :)

Top notch service with a great priced feature menu - we got the Monday deal: 1 meat +3 sides for 17$. The food was great, especially at that price.Burnt ends (4.4/5)Smoked wings (4.5/5)Brisket (4/5)Mac and cheese (3.4/5)Corn bread (4.3/5)Brussels (4.5/5)Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu as well as specific details about their smoking process which I was curious about.

Service and drinks were pretty good but not amazing. Food was dissapointing. Atmosphere was decent - busy, low lighting, warm, tea light candles although half were out, music too loud for any table larger than 4 people to hear each other without shouting.The cauliflower appetizer had a good sauce but the texture of the cauliflower was not good. Pork belly salad was ok but normally the pork belly has a trim of meat and fat, seemed to be all fat; brisket was very good, fork and knife chicken was ok so not worth getting (you do get a piece on a skewer with a Caesar drink btw), ribs were just ok, corn bread was bad, and the best part....Brussel sprouts with garlic aioli and mac n cheese. We've been to some amazing bbq joints in southern states and we go for the meat which this place doesn't do well so it didn't come close to our hopes or expectations. Dinner and a couple of drinks worked out to about $70-75/person with tax and tip.
