Budget Car Rental

Very nice car and staff at the desk!

Went to book a car for 1 week & was told that they are short on cars & I could only book a car for 3 weeks when I’m only on vacation & looking to get a car for a week! Why would I spend 3 times as much money to rent a car when I could walk 5 steps to National Car rental & get a car for a week like I was wanting in the first place because of this I will never rent a car from budget again & I will be sure to tell as many people as I can about this horrible experience! Horrible customer service in my mind! Unfortunately it won’t let me rate a 0 but if I could I most definitely would!

If there's a line it's incredibly slow. Be prepared to wait to pick up your car. Once you make it to the desk, staff are friendly and helpful. Good prices!

Just brutal. Booked a small economy car, arrived and they said they had no cars to rent me (despite a packed parking lot). They instead gave me a Jeep. So rather then burn 5L/100km of gasoline, I burned 14L/100km, cost me nearly 2 times the money in gas and the ferry was more expensive. I brought this concern up with desk staff and they went on about how it is a free upgrade" it was a huge downgrade. Very disappointed and wish I had walked over to Enterprise to see what they would offer. Likely won't use Budget again. I come here quite often."

I have never had worse service in my life. They have no idea how to deal with RBC Avion voucher. Now I have to spend hours to try and get my $1040 back that was already paid by points. It seems that this is the only airport in all my travels that are not trained to deal with this and do not have the computer technology to see that they where already paid. So it seems like a criminal offence to get paid $2080 for a $1040 rental. I am looking in to this as a option since I can get no help from anybody from Budget car rentals.Very unhappy customerand I would never give them a single star, but you have to otherwise it won't post

From the second we interrupted Chan****e from her time on her cell phone by approaching the desk to pick up our rental car, we received abrupt, condescending tone, and generally rude service. While her words may not have been rude, both my wife and I were taken aback by her demeanour and made to feel like we were an inconvenience to her.It got worse when we looked at the vehicle and noticed some pretty significant scuff marks that were not noted on the condition report, and because we don't do this every day we weren't sure if it was big enough to be reportable, we thought it best to show her. I moved the vehicle from the back of the lot to the front (close to desk) and went in and said there's some scuff marks on the driver side

My thanks to Austin and Lisa. When my rental arrangements made through Costco somehow got mangled in the translation, so they and I were trying to work out how come the cost seemed to have risen so much, they stuck to it, figured out the glitch, and made sure I was happy. Good work and willing to go the extra mile (or kilometer). I'll be sticking with Budget.

First time renter, had confussions as to why I was being charged huge extras for over time, which was not explained when rented. I came almost 2 hours before my flight to return my vehicle so I would have plenty of time. The ladies working got quite ignorant with me when i asked why the charges were more then when i booked and would not be according.. I will never rent from budget in Comox again. And have planned 2 more trips back here this summer alone.. I will be coming a formal complaint against the workers as well as customer service was completely unacceptable upon drop off.

Always been friendly to us and clean vehicles. Cheapest I found on the island. just remember to book in advance.

Expensive, but this is due to lack of cars in all hire fleets not just budget
