Staff is always on point ...friendly and helpfulI'm not fond of the entrance ID thing but it's necessary these days . They do keep an eye on the door very well !!!

Staff is always great, selection and prices are good. The new ID check to get into the door is just annoying cuz you also still get checked at the till. Its over kill.

It is a good store, with lots of variety in beer, wine, etc. The employees have been helpful and courteous. However, their recent installation of the ID card scanner needs work. I used it for the first time recently with no problem. Yesterday, it didn't. I tried scanning my driver's license 3 times following the directions exactly with no success. Customers have to enter the store to buy, so as long as there are other nearby stores without scanners Liquor Depot will lose business. I think these scanners are a good idea if they prevent theft, but please make sure they are working as long as the store is open.Update: after my and others' negative reviews of this issue, I was hoping to see a response to at least one from this business. There has been no response, so it appears that this is of no importance. Too bad. As mentioned earlier I appreciated my access to this store. Past tense.

I do not have anything against an ID scanner at the entrance. Entering on a cold day and searching for the ID for a moment, I found it really strange to be asked for my ID AGAIN (and having to search for it) a mere three minutes later at the counter after I just grappled one bottle of wine. New staff, I've always had the same manager for 2 years who was always friendly and helpful. The new young women never offers a greeting upon entering the store...and barely a thank you for my purchase, unless i prompt her with your welcome!" Then she seems confused by the comment. Sigh"

Good liquor store with good offers on wines. No Perry though

Used to be an okay shopping experience. Now that they make you scan your ID before entry I feel like they are expecting me to shoplift. Happy to prove I'm of legal age but to do it before I enter the store turns me off. I won't be back.

I’ve been going to this location for the past four years. Usually, the service is good, but I had a challenging interaction with a young ginger guy who’s obviously power tripping on IDing everyone who appears under 40. I’m 44, and I know the law, but the manner of which he spoke was condescending. I felt attacked and I won’t ever go back. No point when there’s another liquor depot in Oliver east, where the staff are always pleasant and ready to help.

They are a relativity large store with good selection of wine, spirits and beer. If you're looking for craft and/or local beer, here's the go-to place. I don't think their spirit prices are competitive (you can find cheaper deals in other stores), but they do have a good selection. They have a walk-in cooler too, for beer, which is nice. They also carry few accessories and other ingredients, like biters and other mixers.

I have only been to this location a few times. But everytime I've gone there, I've gotten excellent service. They always go above and beyond to help me. They called another location for what I was looking for. It may have been a simple task for them but it meansa lot me to get that kind of service. Cheers to Management and staff.
