H&R Block

I’ve had my taxes done here for years. The reason I do this year after year is to have Margaret Shigetomi, a senior tax pro prepare my taxes. Her cheerful personality & commitment to make sure taxes are done efficiently & correctly. This year, I will be getting an appointment to have her do my 2019 taxes.

Margaret Shigetomi is an excellent Senior Tax Professional! She's very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very organized. I'd highly recommend going to this location and requesting her help with your tax filing needs!

Margaret Shigetomi was incredible! She did 10 yrs worth of taxes in short order and gave me clear courier instructions with Canada Post! She was money well spent. Thank you H&R Block for hiring and retaining her. As well, Margaret is both extremely professional and personable!

One of the best things to come out of 2020 for me was meeting Margaret Shigetomi. A friend of mine referred Margaret when I moved to Richmond last year. She looks out for your best interest and her personality is like a rainbow on a cloudy day! I look forward to seeing her this year and every year from now on.

If you have any respect for yourself or your money, DO NOT go to this H&R block. I have been filing with H&R block for years, at different locations. The service at the location was so awful that I don’t think I will ever go to H&R block again. When I dropped off my documents for filing they said NOTHING about their fees, so I assumed it’s the regular $120. Although last year I only paid $60 when I filed at a branch in Vancouver. This year, they charged me $153! In addition to the outrageously high, undisclosed, fee, they made me wait 1 hour, 1 whole hour, just to pay! It took them 1 hour, not to talk to me about anything, not to fix anything, or go over any information, literally just to put in the fee on the machine so I could tap my card and pay. 1 hour just to pay! When they called to let me know about my documents being ready, they told me to drop by at any time before 9 PM. They never said I would have to wait 1 hour just to pay and go about the rest of my day. And they didn’t explain anything, zero information, about my taxes. I paid $160.63 in total, and received no information, no explanation, and most hurtful of all, no sense of professionalism or respect for me as a faithful client. I was so horrified by how unprofessional and rude they treated me, I didn’t even bother complaining to them, just paid, and left without saying a word.

My sister and I both see Margaret shigetomi for our taxes. She is amazing!! If you have tax anxiety, look no further... Margaret makes you feel at ease and works her magic. I will be coming back to Margaret yearly for my taxes!

Margaret Shigatomi is literally the most helpful person out there. She's also hilarious and makes taxes fun. I highly recommend her to everyone.
