This place and Gin himself deserve more than five stars. I was in a particularly bad pickle when I heard my starter make loud grinding noises while on vacation in Vancouver. I was on my way up from California and figured I'd ask my AirBnB host for a mechanic recommendation in town. He not only gave me Gin's info but called on my behalf and the following morning Gin was there expecting me. He quickly diagnosed the problem managed to get the parts the same day, install the new starter and do an oil change all for a very fair price. What I am most thankful for is that he is a considerate and understanding person. He stayed well after closing time to allow me to use the bus to get back to his shop AND came back even later to meet me when I forgot my receipt while giving me advice on how to possibly get a refund on G.S.T.! I mean, I was a tourist between a rock and a hard place, that's pretty much as vulnerable as it gets when I have to take my car to a mechanic. There are places out there that would really take advantage of my situation but not Gin!!! I recommend him 100 times over.
