Ok, I might sound petty after this review, but my experience was not a good one. I talked to the owner on Instagram asking about a couple of sports card boxes at their 137 Montezuma Trail location and after some delay he gave me the price and that the store had both boxes.As a note, this is not my normal hobby store and I only thought about going here to give them my business since it is close to where I live. So, I get there and do not see the boxes and the guy talking to me tells me the boxes are at their warehouse. Hmm. So, the owner I talked either does not know his inventory or he lied to me trying to get me buy something at his store. Take that for what it is. The people I did deal with at the store seemed kind and knowledgeable, but I fully understand what most people that have been to this store have experienced and I will not be going there again. Their prices are also a little bit higher and I felt a little pressured to buy stuff there which I get because their business is probably terrible.

I recently decided to give Dolly's Toys & Games in Toronto a try, and I must say it was far from a pleasant experience. While some of the staff were friendly and attempted to make the experience tolerable, the glaring issues I encountered overshadowed their efforts.The primary concern was the inadequate event capacity planning, which resulted in the store being significantly overcrowded. There were multiple tournaments at the same time. It was impossible to find seats. We were eventually kicked out of the store as they prioritized their leagues.However, the overcrowding was just the tip of the iceberg. The pricing for items, specifically Pokemon TCG cards, was significantly higher than other stores in Toronto or Mississauga. For instance, Fusion Strike Build & Battle boxes were priced over 30+ CAD in-store, while they are typically sold for around 20 CAD elsewhere. This price difference feels like a blatant rip-off and is completely unjustifiable.While I appreciate the friendliness of some of the staff, the overall experience was severely disappointing. From the overcrowded store to the inflated prices, I strongly recommend considering other game shops in the area.

Very nice cozy good stock and great price for prerelease events definitely coming back

Poor management. My friends and I went to here to play and purchased build & battle boxes. However, we were informed that we had to leave because there was another competition taking place. While the staff was polite, the overall experience was quite disappointing. We are customer who paid as well.

Great store. Friendly and engaging staff. Open until late on weekends. Lots of Magic the Gathering? Yes. But surprisingly also Vanguard, Yugi-oh and even some RPG gets played at the same time.Always an event, competition and a gaming group playing.Pop available and some snacks soon.Love this place to bits!

Terrible, makes no effort to correct issues with orders, my order hasn't arrived for 5 WEEKS and they offer no refund just that I should have gotten tracking. Oh yeah, I'm gonna pay 15 dollars for shipping on a 27 dollar order of singles. Can't refund me 27 dollars? Must be broke or selfish. Never ordering from here again since they obviously don't care about customer service. Like seriously I could see it if my order was like 75 dollars or something but it's 27 DOLLARS! They're such cheapskates! They don't care about ensuring customer loyalty considering I've spent over 300 dollars on orders there. Never again.

Incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. The space is small for the clientele but they try to do the best they can with what they have. Easy to see why they are such a beloved store in the GTA. Highly recommended!

Dolly's appears to have great prices and a wide selection. However my experience with them has been awful. I ordered some singles 6 weeks ago and still haven't got them. When I contacted them 2 weeks after receiving a shipping confirmation they told me my package had been delayed and to wait another 2 weeks. After my package still hadn't arrived they basically told me I should have paid for tracking. Also some perspective I am located in Toronto, there is no reason the package should have taken this long so either it was lost, never sent, or sent to the wrong address. If you want to order from here make sure to pay for tracking or do pick-up as they may decide to delay your shipment by 10+ days, offer no refunds, and provide no proof package was shipped.Update: 2 full months after my order was marked as shipped I received my package. 0/10 I will never order from here again.

Favourite place to go buy cards and geek out!

This is a review update. I had a problem with Dolly's Toys and Games as I dropped off two sports cards that I wanted to get graded by Beckett. There were sentimental as I had them for over twenty years from high school so it was not for monetary reasons.It took over 2.5 years to get them back and I got really frustrated as I had no clue of its where abouts and in between had serious doubts if I would every get them back. Not knowing whether Beckett or Dolly's had lost was upsetting and pretty much gave up and assumed I've lost them forever.Yet Will the owner out of the blue came through and finally received them today. Communication is spotty I have to admit, but I would also probably not want to deal with all the inquiries if Beckett took forever. They no longer grade cards due to all the complications with delays.My personal apologies to Will for being so tough on him as it's hard to be a small business especially the last few years because of the pandemic.Updated my review to 5 stars.
