Straight 8 Barbers Aberdeen

I have been delaying my review because I wanted to share a photo and my phone just did an update so now I can.I was searching for a professional to cut, dye, and do a hair tattoo for my youngest daughter because she has been getting bullied about her body, style and strong attitude. We were referred to Favà by Marnie Ulrich.Not only did Favà deliver, but she took the time to help us be comfortable with the change. She explained typically she will not permanently dye children's hair, but when we explained why we wanted a transformation she was willing to help. My family has never dyed our hair before as we are First Nations and believe strongly in our traditions and culture, but we have had 7 passings in our family in 2020 and we also have life changes happening.My daughter walked out of the barbershop confident in herself once again and full of the beauty that makes her who she is. Favà talked to my daughter as she did her hair and helped boost her confidence back up. She solidified my words. I tell my children we were never meant to fit in, we are strong, independent, and sometimes that intimidates people.I share this with you to show you that a hair style does so much to our daily lives. I share this with you because I am thankful to Marnie and Favà for helping me and my children move forward stronger than ever by being able to show our own styles. Our style is a window to our personalities. I pray for good things and many blessings upon straight 8 barbers, Favà, Marnie and am forever grateful for the impact you had, from the reassurance, the understanding and of course for helping us express ourselves. Just unreal !!! Hamid was the barber my had!! He was fantastic !! My man has never had the whole treatment, and he seriously delivered hot towels! Great shave threaded uni brow, amazing men’s cut, perfect hair cut, my man has weird cow licks And thick wiry hair !! Hamid made it look best it has ! Highly highly highly recommend 100/10 5 stars !

Cool barber shop. Awesome place to be. They treat you so well!! Never left without a smile on my face!!

This is the second time, they overcharged me. The lady sitting at the front counter charges whatever she finds right and if you will confront about the pricing she will say sorry and will not refund the excessive money charged. Never going back to this location

I have yet to ever have a better experience in a barbershop. Got what I expected and then they far exceeded it. Fava, the owner has super high standards for service. You can tell! I recommend everyone to go here.

This was my favorite place to get a haircut in the last couple of years, but I had an incident that didn't make sense or sat well with me. We have check cards that we get signings from each haircut and when it reaches a certain number we get a free haircut. I have been coming to this place for 2 years now when it was open in notre dame but I lost my first check card with 8 signings, the receptionist was kind enough to give me another with 3 and I appreciated it. I kept coming for haircuts until it was one haircut left to complete the check card. When I came for the last haircut I did a walk in and the barber I was usually assigned with was busy so I had another barber which was fine. After the haircut I asked for the card to be signed for my last haircut to get the free haircut as promised on the next visit and was told that they couldn't sign it as the barber was different so I was given a whole new check card. I was confused as this is the same barbershop and I'm getting a haircut anyways so it should count but the receptionist said I don't make the rules" and that was it. I had to come again to my usual barber before I get a signing. Now my issue is this
