Mexican food that is authentic and fresh, fresh, fresh. In the heart of Kensington market this Mexican restaurant is sit down service and as far away from its fast food cousins as it can be. Best enjoyed in summer on the patio

Food and service is good. Those are the 2 most important things anyway. This restaurant is ideal for a couple on a date. It was dark with romantic lighting and tight seating. We went with our adult kids and it was not exactly our style. The food is not the greasy Mexican food found down the street. It is still authentic food, but more fresh and light. They appear to be going for a fine dining experience of street food, which is nice. Portions are fair size. The tacos are generously full and good quality. Prices are quite high.

A Fiery Twist and Delectable Dip at Pancho y EmilianoI recently visited Pancho y Emiliano in Kensington Market with a friend, and we stumbled upon an unforgettable delight—the Moscow Mule Mezcal. This intriguing cocktail captured our attention with its unique blend of flavors. The addition of hot peppers, tailored to our taste for spiciness, took the experience to a whole new level. Alongside this spicy marvel, we savored the mouthwatering guacamole dip. Needless to say, Pancho y Emiliano has won us over, and we are eagerly looking forward to returning for more of their delightful Mezcal drinks.

Being a self-proclaiming Mexican food connoisseur I can attest that the food at Pancho y Emiliano is as close to authentic Mexican food as you can get in Toronto.

This place it’s ok at best, the pozole didn’t have much flavour but the size is generous, shrimp cocktel was good but very small, tortilla chips aren’t fresh or handmade, chorizo sopes would have been fine but the chorizo isn’t real chorizo it’s more like soja and for the prize it’s not worth it! Not coming back. There’s much better Mexican restaurants for cheaper

The has a nice welcoming vibe nestled in bustling Kensington market. The place was pretty packed on Saturday night. The staff is polite and service is quick. Tried the Mezcal Margarita, a bit watered down but good. Tacos were a bit undercooked and chewy but the Tamal de Rajas was wonderful. Patio, vibe and drinks make for a fun summer experience.

The tacos and these Margaritas were so delicious! These are fish tacos and the drinks were Tamarind Margarita and the Rosa margarita. Both were really tasty! The added spices that they give you for the tacos were delicious and they had an outdoor covered patio with heaters which was great! Recommended if you are in the area and want to sit down to eat!

The food was so good! Juicy (gluten-free!) tacos with chicken filling. The staff was super kind too! Good price-quality ratio.

Authentic Mexican food and great vibe. I felt the lighting in the restaurant was towards the darker side. We ordered chilaquiles vegetarianos and enchilada vegetarianas. Food was tasty but the nachos and tortilla etc was a bit soggy so I didn’t enjoy that. The guacamole and salsa verde was delicious! Server was really sweet and service was fast.

VERY expensive (1 beer, 1 glass of sangria, 2 fish tacos, 3 pork tacos and a plate of nachos with plain guacamole came out to about $105!)Sangria was okay (just white wine mixed with orange juice and a few chunks of apple). Nachos and guacamole didn’t have much flavour - it was like it’s missing a punch, maybe a dash of lime or something. However, tacos were pretty good though. Carnitas tacos (pork) were very juicy and baja tacos (fish) were quite delicious as well. There’s also a patio that’s dog friendly and always seems to have space.
