Revera River Ridge

Our Dad moved to River ridge 6 weeks ago and we are most happy as a family on how everyone has welcomed and treated him. Kelsey and Barb as well as the front reception staff have been so helpful and caring about all Dads needs. Special mention to Darcy too, in charge of the maintenance of the facility, for helping Dad with tech needs in his suite. And a big bonus is having Chef Matthew in charge of the dining room where Dad says he has enjoyed every meal. Thank you to the nursing staff and cleaners too who are kind and efficient and take time for short chats throughout the day. It’s a very friendly environment. Dad is just starting to get into more of the recreation and social programs offered, there’s lots to do if you want.We are so glad Dad is at River ridge.

What makes Revera what it is is the incredible staff! I am an RN and it says a lot when the staff turnover is super low. It's a happy place for residents and staff! My parents received wonderful care over the years. Kelsey and his staff are passionate about the needs of seniors and were so supportive of families too! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

My Dad has been living at River Ridge for almost two years. He is very happy there. He enjoys the crib games and other social activities. The food is very good and the dining room is nicely set up. It is convenient to have a hair salon in the building. The nursing staff have been very helpful. I am there weekly and all the staff are always very friendly.

If you are looking for a caring, compassionate place that feels like ‘home’ then River Ridge is for you. Our parents lived in this wonderful facility during the past 9 to 10 years. The staff are exceptional caring people that go out of their way to ensure great quality care happens. During the pandemic, they responded exceptionally with safeguarding the residents. The staff diligently made the residents a priority with keeping everyone safe. Staff have become our family ‘friends’ and our father called River Ridge ‘home’. We can’t thank them enough for their support, care and friendship with the recent loss of our father. River Ridge was and is the right choice for loved ones. Thank you to all the staff from the ‘Kastelic’ family. We will be forever grateful.

This winter my family had the emotionally charged task of finding a secure, friendly, supportive place for Mom to live. While she is still quite independent, she needs some support. Where to go? The AHS route is a very long wait and it was difficult to visit those facilities to get a sense of the atmosphere. Then an answer to our prayers appeared - River Ridge. From the first moments that we were in the building, there was a warm feeling. My mom felt it right away. Each admin staff member we dealt with was caring, sincere, and really listened to my concerns for my mother's emotional and physical well being. They were very supportive during all aspects of the move-in. My mother feels welcomed there. All staff from the kitchen to the cleaners smile a greeting and are helpful. I am very impressed that the building is Covid free. This is surely due to the stringent practices in place and the diligence of staff and family to ensure there is not the slightest chance of a Covid transmission. Just over 6 months ago , I had to move my mom from ironwood estates where she was living in due to severe lack of care., which ended up in her being hospitalized within 3 months of her being there . Scared , unsure , and desperate to get my mom out of there before she was discharged from the sturgeon , I found River ridge . My brother and I were able to tour the facility the day after I called despite still being in lock-down from covid. We were treated with kindness, empathy, respect and care from the second we walked in the front door. We both had strong concerns about my mom because of her dementia as well as she has very strict dietary needs, I had been promised the moon at ironwood so I was sure to ask all my questions before signing anything . We were introduced to the home care coordinator Francis, who assured us her needs would be taken care of , the head chef Mathew also came and sat with us for almost an hour taking notes , making copies of her allowed foods and asking questions to make sure they could handle what mom needed. And they have delivered 10 fold . She has NEVER received ANYTHING she cannot have from her long list of food no no’s , they have made sure she is able to receive safe treats for desert , so she doesn’t feel left out at mealtimes, they have encouraged her to take part in the dementia geared exercise and activity programs to keep her sharp and independent as long as possible. The nursing staff has supported her ostomy care and issues without complaint . The reception staff is so lovely, I want to take them all home. , Kelsey the director is friendly supporting and always has his door open for a chat or advice . Even the maintenance staff has gone to moms room repeatedly to do simple things like reset her clocks or help her with her microwave if she gets a little confused . You cannot go anywhere in the facility with out staff and residents saying hello , smiling or engaging in chat . There was even lovely gifts like a sweater and blanket she received as welcome gifts. This facility also has had ZERO covid breakouts , the residents have never had to be locked away from one another at any time except for the few days when mom first arrived. Which I believe is it’s own testament to the love care empathy and respect they have for the residents and their families. I receive updates via email regarding what’s happening , and my mom LOVES it there . She’s gained weight , she’s more social and healthier than she’s been in a really long time . When she was at IW , she was never fed properly, locked in her room due to several out breaks , the staff was grumpy and uncaring . And the management was awful to be polite. The day we moved her out there where resident begging us to take them too ... I cannot say enough wonderful things about river ridge and it’s entire staff. As my moms POA , MPA and primary contact , I almost ended up in the hospital next to her I was so worried about her before I moved her to river ridge , she would call me crying and begging to come live with me ... now I’m lucky if I get to talk to her once a day because she’s out and about in this wonderful community , and when we do speak she goes in forever about how awesome everyone is. River ridge in my opinion is the ONLY place to have your elderly loved ones be .

My mother was a resident in the Memory Care Unit. They did everything they could to make her transition as smooth as possible and went over and above to provide reassurance and support for the family also. The staff were very caring and patient. I am grateful that we found a safe harbor for her when we most needed it.

My Mom has been residing in River Ridge for about a month. River Ridge's Staff is professional & pleasant to deal with. 24/7 Nursing care is exceptional. The nurses & support staff go out of their way to make my Mom feel comfortable & safe. Overall, I would recommend River Ridge for Senior Retirement living.

Both my family and her think the staff is friendly, helpful, professional and caring. I would highly recommend moving a parent here. It is peace of mind knowing that my mom feels it IS home for her in all ways!

My mom became a resident at River Ridge the day before the first COVID lockdown and we were very concerned that after moving her in she was then on her own. The staff at River Ridge has been amazing! kind, caring, always there very willing to assist residents as well as their families and kept the residents safe from the COVID pandemic while always working with the families and keeping us informed of any changes. My mom has dementia however it was not at the point she couldn't live in her own apartment there. The staff at River Ridge was always very patient and supportive with her. She was allowed to keep her dog which was her lifeline and her dog got spoiled by the staff and other residents always wanting to give her some love. This made it much easier for Mom to meet people as well. Mom always said I'm very comfortable here
